Modeling general discussion
Tearing out my old layout.
So, instead of thinking about my old layout and the problems its' age causes, I've decided that because of Covid 19 and the uncertainty this is causing, I'm going to get out my drafting table and see if I can come up with a good layout design for a new Narrow Gauge layout. The only thing I know for certain, is it would be built one module at a time. This would allow easy disassembly when the need arise. Because I have been interested in the Rio Grande Southern for years, this is one possible scenario I might build and another would be a completel

Rustoleum Deadflat
Please no “airbrush” solutions, that’s not the problem I’m trying to solve!
Following Joe F’s suggestion, I picked up a can of Rustoleum Dead Flat as a much more readily available and economical replacement (actually same thing) for Testors Dullcoat. The nozzle is the newer trigger type and so far it flat out SUCKS!

It's another week . . . post 'em if you got 'em. There were a few late-comers in last week's post. Check them out, then come back here afterward.

What's on your workbench - May 2020
I'll get this rolling with a close up photo of a locomotive I'm doing a First Look on.... until I took a photo, I hadn't even noticed the 74V sign.
Layout Age and the problems caused by it.
My HO Northern Pacific layout is based on a 1953 date for the N.P. The layout was started in 1988. It is not complete and likely never will be. The layout is a three times around and crosses over its' self twice. There is a main yard and two staging areas, one below the main yard and one recently added sort of off layout.

Question for the group
Folks:
We have a reader who would like to know if anyone knows who carries an N scale model of the Rocky Mountaineer train of Canada? If so, please email the info to gerycom@aol.com.
Thank you!

MoPac layout in Model Railroader
Years ago Model railroader featured a MoPac layout from a recently deceased owner .The article was about 4 pages. The layout was going to be donated to a local museum
The layout was set during the 80s. Any one know what issue this was?
