Has anyone used one of these - TCS Train Control Systems / UWT-100 Universal WiFi Throttle
I'm wanting a remote controller and I already have a NCE Pro cab and was interested in their wireless option but then I saw this on the Ken Patterson show Has anyone used one of these - TCS Train Control Systems / UWT-100 Universal WiFi Throttle. Not sure how it works in with my NCE but apparently it does and I was looking for any other options as I have a layout room and now a display room with live track and this .might be a flexible option.

HELP! Proto 2000 2-8-8-2 #31227 Need Instructions
I purchased a Proto 2000 2-8-8-2 NW 2028, model #31227 for $200 last week. NO INSTRUCTIONS, although the history leaflet was included in the box...which is of no use since I already know the history fairly well.
I can't tell if DCC has been installed, and instructions another kind gentleman provided for an earlier model from LifeLike proved to not lead to getting the tender shell off. His tender has 3-axle trucks, this one has two-axle, must be a 12T or 16T tender, with no doghouse.
Track bus
I’m considering using 12 AWG for my track bus.
Not an electrician and novice model railroading, I have a stoopid question or two. The power output should be identical regardless of where a joint is placed on the bus - correct? And a dozen or so joints on a 20’ bus isn’t unreasonable, it’s impact to the grid in its entirety is minimal at most - correct? And do they make a wire stripper that removes insulation from the middle of a wire, or is exacto knife the only way?

Weekly Photo Fun - May 24-30, 2020
It's another week . . . post 'em if you got 'em. There were a few late-comers in last week's post. Check them out, then come back here afterward.
Santa Fe - The Surf Line (1950’s)
Hello all
i am currently building a large HO layout using many of the features from a Keith Jordan layout from Model Railroader magazine, issue August 2004.
I was wondering if anyone else had built or used part of that layout design. The Surf Line is a fascinating piece of trackage, and ties in with my interest of citrus industry modelling too.

Best ways to deal with strict operators who refuse to understand they're not running a real railroad
New poster here. After checking the archives and not finding what I looking for I decided to make an account to see if anyone might be able to offer some advice for a major issue the model railroad club I belong to has been facing for the past year and a half. As we all know, Model Railroading is supposed to be a fun hobby. It's supposed to be a hobby where you get a chance to build and run your own miniature railroad empire and share the fun with your fellow modelers.
Patents & Copyrights
It's still a few years off (maybe), but I'm starting to think of ways to generate supplemental retirement income. It would be nice to build models - railroad or non railroad related - to sell online. As at least some of the components would need to be purchased from online retailers, what are the laws/regulations/ethics, etc about using purchased items in something to sell? Since they are bought and legally mine, will there be any copyright infringement problems. I have worked in the manufacturing/construction industries most of my career which all ways

What is your experience packing structures for moving?
In anticipation of a move, I am looking at packing a number of structures. I hope people will share their experiences both good and bad. (It is always good to know what doesn't work!)
Packing rolling stock is relatively easy, especially if you have original boxes.
I'm about to find out if my sectional layout construction (almost TOMA) works for moving.

Hermann Goring's train(s)
Interesting video recent sent to me by a friend.
I was unaware that he had such an interest in trains, both full size and model trains.
