Which is the best glue for Rix bridge products?

I just bought some HO Rix Products 50' bridge kits. Haven't built plastic in a long time (mostly wood craftsman kits recently) and when I did, I remember the plastic was pretty stiff styrene -- fairly brittle. The Rix plastic feels more flexible...maybe even rubbery. What is the best glue to use? In the past, I used the good old Testors liquid cement but since this plastic feels different I am hesitant to do that.

Be On the Look Out- Stolen Brass from Just Trains in Concord California

(Updated - I originally had the wrong city- Thanks Rob Spanger for the correction)

Here is a FB post from Just Trains in Concord, California (in the greater SF Bay Area) -  They were burglarized early Wednesday morning and at least 12 brass locomotives were stolen. Please be on the lookout for these items showing up for sale on the web, especially e-Bay.  Please pass this on.

The cost of hand laying track?

I have been looking over designing a Narrow Gauge layout in either On30; or, Sn3.  I am finding that it appears that hand laying track is more expensive than buying Micro Engineering commercial track.  Those of you who have laid your own track, does this sound correct?  PBL does produce Sn3 track which I think is probably cheaper than Hand Laying track.

Questions re: using Elmer's or Aileen's glue to mask for painting

I need to mask some painted areas with very little surface for tape to adhere to so I considered using Microscale Micro Mask.  Then I read in this and other forums that MMM doesn't work well with acrylic paint.

Atlas HO RS 1 from 2013 Run

Good afternoon.

As Atlas does not indicate on their web site whether their 2013 run of Analog HO RS 1s are DCC ready, thought I would ask you good folks if you know.

Thanks and regards,

Bart

Virtual RPM (RPM = Railroad Prototype Modeling)

Here's a thread to share your prototype modeling. Share completed and in-process models that reflect prototype locomotives, rolling stock, structures, and scenes. This is open to any scale, just as long as the modeling is following a prototype.

Walthers 130 foot N scale turntable question

After some years resting (or perhaps dismantling what I had, moving, goring through cancer, and getting ready to start over) I am in the planning process.  I have less space, but it is inside, and air conditioned, so not a bad trade.  I'm working and planning, and thinking of a turntable, or not.  One of my sons has a Big Boy, which makes the 130 foot Walthers interesting, though pricey, and a space hog.  I'm not sure I can make it fit, but even if I can I see a potential issue, looking at the instructions online.  It claims I need 6 inches clearance under t

DCC problem

Hi I have an older Walters P2K U30B with factory DCC that is giving me fits.  It runs great for awhile then it just stops, pauses for a moment, then takes off again. I took the shell off, all wiring looked good, I did add a piece of tape under the 8 pin plug, still same problem   I also noticed I had no headlights either direction, so I swapped out the decoder ( DZ143) to a TCS 1 that I had on hand and tested. The headlight worked briefly then nothing and also still the random stop, pause and restart.
