Installing EMD GP35 wipers
I have the Details West Tandem wiper detail part and the windshield wiper set. They are for the EMD diesels and I have the Athearn GP35 RTR that comes without wipers added.
Maybe those of you with skill and good eyes could help me with any suggestions for installing. I know the drill size but have no idea how the tandem arm attaches to the wipers. I'll have enough trouble cutting them off the sprues withy a new #11.
Thanks to all who post in MRH with helpful hints, ideas and feedback.

Should passenger car axles be lubed?
I'm pulling 11 Walthers UP Heritage Passenger cars and they seem collectively heavy to pull. Does anyone find it appropriate to lube the axle points? Anyone have any other experience to pass along with these cars other than that they need 36" curves for reliable operation?
Thanks
Deane
For those folks modeling loaded cars, here's a link to a page full of info on that topic!
This topic came in yesterday on a Union Pacific "Track Record" eMail:

It talks about the "Art of Loading a Rail Car" and has some links to good reference material.
DCC & Protothrottle Noob
So hopefully in a few days I will be leaving the stone age of DC sound (old Sierra Sound) in my large scale locomotives and entering the brave new world of DCC and Protothrottle.
I've got on order a ESU V5 decoder that I'm planning on setting up with deadrail from Blue Ridge Engineering. I'm on both the Loksound yahoo page and the Protothrottle groups.io list.

My new Layout in my new House
Hi all;
For those who do not know. I have been in a wheelchair for 30+ years after a work accident. Since then I had a stroke in 2007 so have no balance. Combined with a heart condition I absolutely can not do crawling around.

New layout idea
Hello,
I'm a model railroader living in Germany and I'd like to start a new layout. All of my previous layouts were German Deutsche Reichsbahn layouts but I've been very interested in american railroading for many years. I have collected many american locos and cars during several years - most of it is used stuff I found on the *bay.
