Middle School Model Railroad: public facing model railroading

Suitable Sound Files for Diesel Boxcab
I'm planning to add sound to my remotorized MDC boxcab. I'd like to add a loksound decoder and was curious to know which sound file would be the closest to an actual AGEIR boxcab. For the record, the specific locomotives I'm replicating are Erie 19 and 20 boxcabs used at Harlem 149th Street Station.

Cleaning an airbrush filter
I have been using a wire mesh filter for some time on my airbrush. I use acrylic paints for my trains. Even though I try to clean the filter after each use it has gradually clogged up. I have soaked it in airbrush cleaner for acrylics but it is still difficult to get rid of the gummy residue. What is the best way to clean the filter or do I need to replace it?

I purchased several Atlas GP-38s when they came out with the high short hood Southern/NS units back in the mid 2000s. These are the vintage that will run on DC or DCC depending on the jumper setting.
