Setting up my shelf layout again
Hi Guys,
I'm planning new construction on my shelf layout. Right now it is a point to point shelf layout with a peninsula. I'd like to add a loop on an "upper" level. If I can pull this off, I'll have more track elevated on hills and bridges, with the original track going into tunnels and under trestles. Here are few shots showing how we set up the original layout.
What's on your workbench - June-July 2015
I haven't noticed any workbench projects posted lately. Let's see what's going on this month.

DCC Test Track and Decoder Pro Setup
I am in the process of building a DCC Test Track using the NEC Power Cab and the USB interface for Powercab.
Started off with MDF board cut to 3" x 48" Then I sanded the board and painted it white.
Time to start smelting
Thanks to my friend Doug H. I now have 15 sheets of 3mm cork to use as roadbed for my smelter yard and the future yard in The Pas. I have been looking at options for the track layout and am thinking that we are getting close to having a final arrangement for the smelter. A few shots below in a separate post.

Tunnel Portal and Lining on the PC&N Ry
I have started to scratch build a short timber tunnel lining with portals. This is really a selective compression of a tunnel and is being used to transition from one scene to the next through the center backdrop. Once completed I can finished the tree covered ridge it goes through.
