Original Mike Danneman N Scale DRGW Layout?

Would anyone happen to know the current whereabouts of the 'original' Mike Danneman 5x7 N-scale DRGW layout?  I'm thinking of the one that was in Model Railroader mag back in the mid 1990s, and has been on display off and on in several hobby shops since then.

Last I recall hearing some years ago was that it had been sold to a private individual, but on the off chance that it might be on display somewhere, it would be nice to know in case an opportunity to see it ever arises.

Thanks in advance,

Ed

Prototype Photographs 2021

Hi All,

Went to see some trains today with my camera.  Found a couple scenes that you might enjoy looking at.

In the spirit of the holidays I'd like to share them with You.

Hope the ensuing year is Happy, Healthful and Prosperous for you.

I’m looking forward to see and enjoy your prototype photos too again this year.

I truly enjoyed the last couple years photos.  Thanks!

Nick

Thanks to Joe Fugate

Thanks Joe for another very valuable contribution to our hobby - i.e  the article on LED lighting. Saved me hours of work. Just like your paint guide and the track cleaning advice it is a great contribution to our hobby.

Modeler's License - What's your get out of jail free card?

So some modelers are very much free-lanced in time and locale and some are sticklers on a certain time and place.  But since this is a hobby at the end of the day, we can all do what we want under the rules of "It's MY railroad."

For those sticklers who don't deviate (much) or those that could narrow it down, what's the ONE thing that you would cheat on because, well...it's your railroad?  Be it cheating your era, motive power, or something else, what's your get out of jail free card?

graphite

been looking at sources for graphite, some have a dry molly lube in them.

would this help to keep it in the plastic cup areas built into the side frames for the point of the axle to ride in? does not look like a price cut to buy even a pound of the stuff. (like who would need that much in a life time?).

Need electrical recipe for small but congested layout

Just getting back into the train room after a year of work and house renovation and want to make some electrical rules for my layout - I have watched Joe Fugate's (DCC Bus wiring 101) electrical article and Ron trains which is helpful but my layout isn't as big. And I have listened to others and wondering what would be best wiring practice for my size.

Mine goes around the room 3 times elevating from 0 to 7.08" (180mm) and then back down to ground zero.

Panorama printing recommendation

Go to trainjunkies.com. This guy does them much cheaper with great service. USPS lost the ones he sent me so he reprinted and sent me replacements free
