Denton Montana hit by Wildfire

This might not be the ideal place for this thread, but out here in Montana the small town of Denton has been hit by a wildfire.

It's pretty unusual to have something like this happen out on the prairie in December, but I guess the record drought and high winds overwhelmed whatever crews were assigned to the fire. There's no loss of life, so far, but at least 24 residential structures have been lost.

New Diorama for Credit Valley Railway

Starting another diorama for the Credit Valley Railway.

I have decided to do the scenery in Diorama form. What that means is I will build each "Scene" on a piece of hardboard on my workbench, then place it onto the layout and "work it in".

Farm grain trucks

I have built a mid-50ish grain elevator and need farm trucks to complete the scene.  II have tried about all of the on line venders to no avail.  Any sources for grain trucks with maybe single axle type are known, please let me know.

Bachmann 2-10-0 Decapod in UP livery

I picked up this Bachmann loco at a local show in Deland Fla about 6 months ago. It was such a sweet looking engine I could resist, particularly as it had a vandy tender. A few weeks ago I put it on the tracks and it ran like a sweet heart too.

When I took a closer look at the box it came with I noticed it said 'undecorated'. So my question is did Bachmann sell this model like this, or did the previous owner just add that UP vandy tender?

Did any of the decapods utilize vandy tenders?

Did UP own any of these Russian decapods?

Christmas Micro

I made a simple point to point micro layout (operating diorama) for a micro model railway contest on Facebook. The baseboard is made from foamcore that is 38 inches long and 6 inches deep at its widest point. The total layout size is 135 square inches, including staging. I'm using On30 equipment from Bachmann.

Looking for ) scale (1/48th Scale) automobiles and trucks, pre 1930s.

Hello, I am modeling in On30 and am looking for O scale Automobiles and Trucks.  I'm modeling pre-1930s but would be interested in all of 1930s, if that is what is available.  Do you have a good website.  I would like to build these models if I can.

Thanks in advance!

QTTX 12 axle depressed center flat car brake piping

I am getting back to work on a pair of Walther's heavy-duty 12 axle depressed center flat cars. The brake stuff is on the deck, topside, and I'd like to model the piping. I've found a few photos on the interwebs but wondered if there have ever been drawings published in any model magazines on these cars. Even better, if someone has done this and can share some photos of what they did.

Thanks.
