Precision Craft F3's imported by Broadway Ltd

Does anyone know of the actual builder of the Precision Craft F3 engines that BLI imported?

I think it might have been a German company,  almost certain it was not Chinese??

Fading and weathering a shiny factory painted loco

I have weathered another switcher, but as seen here, it had an off black custom paint job and never was shiny.

This one is going to be a challenge.

Your background building recommendations.

The closet expansion has finally begun! The benchmark is complete, the sky boards are painted blue and will have  clouds added this weekend. They are about 20” above the foam base. It’s HO scale.

It’s 2 feet deep and about 10 feet wide ( long ) and will basically be a yard with background buildings along the 10 foot closet wall. I will attempt to shadow box this area as a trial run for the rest of the layout.

My question to you is this:

TCS UWT-50 Update

Received this via email today:

Unclogging a hair mister

My hair mister got clogged with some crud that was in my scenic cement.  To fix it, I was able to pry up the nozzle cover over the black nozzle.  From there, I used some pliers to wiggle the black nozzle off.  It took a fair amount of force before it popped, so maker sure you have room for your hands to move when it does.  I used a micro brush and water to clean some chunks out of the nozzle.  I then pushed it fully back into place and snapped the cover shut.  Mister saved.  Your model and mileage may vary.

model railroaders/clubs

Hi,

I'm wondering if there are any ho scale model railroaders and/or clubs in the Las Vegas/Henderson area?

Show me your M.T. Arms Hotel by Woodland Scenics

I am building a Woodland Scenics DPM kit of the M.T. Arms Hotel.  I would love to see some finished hotels so I might find some inspiration in painting it.  If you have one finished, would you mind taking a picture of it and sharing it?

Thanks!

Doug

The direction of this hobby.

I have been seeing a general trend for this hobby of more modern equipment being modeled.  I had a Transition Era Layout of the Northern Pacific, which I have torn down and have now started on an even earlier era Steam Narrow Gauge layout.  I'm thinking Time Wise this will be from the late 1920s to the early 1930s.

Cleveland & Eastern RR - N Scale Layout

Hey folks,

I'd like to share my freelanced home layout - the Cleveland & Eastern RR - with you.
It is built as a walk in layout and covers 25 sqm room.

Small traction module

I've been thinking about model railroading again, and this time I think a traction layout would be interesting. I want to keep it small, and I want to make it compatible with East Penn Traction Club modules. Going to a convention with it would be a good long-term goal to work towards. I'm not particularly interested in modelling one prototype, or even freelancing a US railroad, rather, I have mine set in the setting of some stories I've written, although this particular module would take inspiration from one SEPTA trolley depot I've seen.
