Dynamic Brake Housing for a Athearn SD 40-2 Blue Box

Hi,

I collect Athearn Blue Box Trains. I have lost a couple of the Dynamic Brake Housings on my SD 40-2's. Can anyone give me a company that still makes these? The Athearn part number is 45038. This is a easy part to come loose and I have managed to loose two of them just transporting them from my house to where my club is. I would appreciate any help you may offer. Thank you very much.

IAIS's West End - Some love for an old switcher

Iowa Interstate SW1200 250 (ex-Texas & Pacific 1299) holds a special place in my heart since it was born just a month after me and was the only switcher owned by the railroad.  While it started out working in Blue Island (Chicago), it later moved to Rock Island and then, in 2003, to Council Bluffs, where it lived out its final years with the IAIS before being sold in 2007.

Help with HO Scale EMD NW2 - probably BLI

All,  I have been given an assignment to detail and paint in HO scale the Domtar 1001, an EMD NW2.    This would be a late production NW2, so we have identified the probable candidate as BLI's NW2, which represents a phase V NW2.  The chief spotting feature of this phase was the tapered hood down toward the front cab windows.  The earlier instances had a stepped hood, like what the Kato NW2 shows.

Atlas RS11 DCC Shell

I have an Atlas RS11 DCC no sound, the shell and handrails took some damage, but Chassis is running fine, is the Atlas RS11 Chassis interchangeable with other  locomotive Atlas shells or do I have to search for an RS shell??
