2019 National Train Show - Day 3 - it's over

Okay, it's 8:30pm-ish here in Salt Lake City. The train show has been over for 4 1/2 hours (not including post show teardown time) and I'm just now getting to this. Dinner with Joe, Patty, Eric and my wife was lovely.

Fair warning... this may take a couple days. My wife and I drove down here in two days, the first was about 8 1/2 hours, the second 3/12 hours. Google says it's going to take 12 1/2 hours straight driving to get home (not counting food, bathroom, and fuel breaks).

2019 National Train Show - Day 2 - Getting behind....

I have sort of a tradition at these events... falling way behind. I'd pretty much avoided that this week (Contest Room was definitely slipping though), but tonight.... full stop.

No, nothing bad.

Summer Modeling

Just a little note on what i have been doing  with modeling this summer. In short no changes to my layout. However I have been investing in “stuff” to keep me busy when this long winter months come. I got down to Eau Claire Wisconsin for the international toy train expo. For me it was the biggest show I have been to. I stuck to my shopping list and bought buildings for my town scene and mining scene. Lots of different layouts of many scale types to watch. A reoccurring theme was the Big boy.

MRH RE TMTV tablet suggestion

Does anyone have experince with the Amazon Fire HD 10? Amazon Prime Day is coming and they should have a good price.

I enjoy curling up on the couch with my tablet to read MRH and Running Extra.

My Eclipse 7 needs replacing as it can not be updated and no longer can cast to my TV.

Need a bigger type face on screen that is why going to a 10.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Getting Started on the KY&N - Intro and Track Planning

My freelanced Kanawha, Youngstown & Northern is primarily a moderate sized-railroad between Charleston, WV and Cleveland, OH, through towns and cities synonymous with steel-making; Wheeling and Weirton in WV and Youngstown, OH. Based in the 1968-1974 time frame, this provides the opportunity to run a mix of first and second generation locomotives as well as a wide variety of rolling stock.
