Lyndonville Sub 2.0 update

After what felt like a constant tug-of-war to make a prototypical representation of the Washington County Railroad in northern Vermont more operationally challenging as a model railroad (it currently only runs one train a day), I've chosen to surrender to making the layout proto-freelanced, running a prototype railroad over freelanced land.

In the following post you'll find a crude drawing of what's being built.  At this point all the track is laid and about 1/3rd of it is now wired.

I'm still alive, LOL!!

Hey everybody, link to my latest video showing the temporary workbench setup I've got for the next couple months while we look for a house. Just finished taking one of my old Blue Box units and adding truck lights, illuminated number boards, marker lights, and the headlight. I'll have a couple photos up soon and then a workbench update in a couple weeks once I get enough stuff done. Anyways, thanks for watching as always, and link below.

Weed Sprayer train

I recently got a CMX track cleaning car. I'd like to do a MOW Weed Spraying train. Does anybody have any pictures so that I may model one?

A Pump House for Gavilon

Made a bit more progress at Gavilon.
I made a final decision to have the tank cars be unloaded rather than get loaded since this is a small distributor.
So I made a concrete pad with hoses for unloading the cars.

Then I figured I needed a pumphouse to get the material from the cars to the storage tanks?

Pokey 3.0 Trackplan & Operations

This blog will follow the progress of the new layout I'm planning. As with my former layout, this new layout will be a prototype freelanced layout based on the N&W Pocahontas District between Williamson, WV and Bluefield, WV. I appreciate your comments and suggestions, and look forward to having you accompany me on the journey.

Layout Update #6 - Buried in Benchwork: Part 2

It's been a while since I've posted a solid update on the progress of the layout itself. Well, I've gotten quite a bit done in recent months and I share it with everyone in the latest update video.

HO 10' Plug Doors

Over the year, I often found out many excellent RTR models would be a good starting point for some project, however, they would need replacement doors, namely 10' plug doors.

N Scale - How old is too old?

I know the real answer to this is dependent entirely on personal health factors, but I want to ask opinions anyway.

Meek's Canyon on the Black N' Blue

Since I consider it a very important scene on the railroad I've decided to branch this off into it's own separate blog chapter. I bring you the "Clark Viaduct" which crosses "Niner Creek" and then trains will the enter the darkness of the "Dunakin Tunnel" with all of it taking place in "Meek's Canyon" I'll leave it to the amateur sleuths to figure out the names but it's not hard, all are just tributes to friends I cherish who are well known here.
