Heard of The Société du port ferroviaire de Baie-Comeau (SOPOR)?

Just stumbled across the website for this short line. https://sopor.ca/en/   Has anyone considered modelling it?  It seems an interesting candidate for a small layout.

My first switching area !!!

I have started working on the layout again. I decided to post this to my blog because this is the start of what should end up looking pretty cool and being an area that provides A LOT of operation potential.

My creative side will simply not allow me to formalize a plan and follow it... I have an idea what I want but that is all.  The thrill of the hunt is the junk I find at trainshows and figuring out how I can clean it up and put it all back together again.

Next stop: Fordyce, AR and it's buildings

Anyone have experience with the new Atlas All-Scales Signaling System?

Anyone have any experience with the new Atlas Signaling System? I am planning on a small layout (4x8, 5x9, 4x8 with a 4x4 extension on one side). I'm not interested in ops-sessions. My aim is a computer-controlled system so at most 1-2 operators so I'm looking for something simple, a basic ABS system and don't want to put the time into a more elaborate system. I'm looking at either a Digitrax or NCE DCC system.

Couple things off the workbench.

Hey everyone, Here,s a teaser for one of the projects I'm working on. This was one of the very first f-units I got, A-B-A lashup of blu-box F-units. B-units about to get a sound-chip, motor, etc., and the other A-unit will eventually get the same treatment. Weathered with a light coat of grime and some rust on the truck sideframes.
