First building in Fordyce
Last friday I got the first building close to completion in Fordyce.
This is the new Walthers kit: The Modern Concrete Warehouse that I'm using for the processing and cold storage building for my Flappers Chicken complex.
Next stop: Fordyce, AR and it's buildings
Ok, moving onto the next town and project. This time it will be Fordyce, AR.
Here's a shot from about 2 years ago just after I finished re-aligning the track.
A Pump House for Gavilon
Made a bit more progress at Gavilon.
I made a final decision to have the tank cars be unloaded rather than get loaded since this is a small distributor.
So I made a concrete pad with hoses for unloading the cars.
Then I figured I needed a pumphouse to get the material from the cars to the storage tanks?
OP session #16 and a couple of guests.
Nothing new, I just realized how that i should have been making individual blog posts instead of just adding to one post. So I just copied this post to a new blog post.
We held the session Saturday morning. I had invited Joe Atkinson to come for a session on my layout. Joe was able to make it down and op with us. After a little bit of chit chat and explaining of the layout, we got to work.

Little Rock Line Duplex Upgrade
Well this weekend saw the start of the conversion from Digitrax Simplex to the Digitrax Duplex on The Little Rock.
The Little Rock Line in N scale.
Greetings all. Been lurking for a few years, decided it was time to join in.
I started my layout design years ago but didn't get around to building until 2008. It's a Proto-Freelanced design based on Rock Island's section of line from Little Rock, AR south to Alexandria, LA. Subdivision 38 & 39 of their Southern Division. In my history books The Rock avoided the final shutdown and continues to operate. The current date is Spring-Summer of 1983. It was designed for Ops and as of the present is fully operational.
