Just bought a couple of O scale NP F9's off Ebay here in the UK & enspired by a great article in Pacific Rail News Dec 1995 about an enclave of BN units still operating in Washington state I want to turn these in to a couple of recently retired BN units leased or sold to a shortline in the 80's.
I hope this post is in the right place. I am in need of a quantity (18) of the Details West 914 Switch Stand targets. I want the round ones. I am asking this group because some of you may have these and not use the round targets since it comes with a number of different style targets. Instead of tossing them in the trash I could sure use them. I'll be happy to pay postage to get them to me. I have a bunch of Overland Models switch stands that do not have targets is why I could use these.

Hello, I have been helping my dad to get his layout up and running to the very best it can, and I have been running into a rather odd issue.
We are using bachmann EZ track, and with the turnouts or as I would call them, switches, we have been having some difficulties with a specific few.
Looking for draft gear as pictured. Discontinued by Kadee, not finding any on eBay, can find the couplers with the draft gear but not just the draft gear. Have couplers, need boxes.

I model N scale. I have the Corner stone HO Valley Cement Kit. I plan on converting it into an N scale plant by changing the doors and windows.Replacing ladders,stairs, But keeping the building size to reflect the size plant down in Southern California. I have a 4 foot square area to place the plant. But may only us two foot square area to build it. I also have the silos and support building i may need for this projects. My other hope is to switch in and out 30 to 60 two bay cement cars, Tool parts cars, Coal, aggregate, Sand, to be taken it to support the plant.
I have came across what seems to be an Athearn Blue box 40 ft modernized boxcar. It has double plug doors. I do not remember seeing this before and cannot find any pics or info online on the car. The one I have is undecorated. My question is, does anyone have any info on the car, both model and/or prototype? Attached is a pic of the doors.. Google was my friend, but today isn't telling me what I need..
after loading JMRI, it will work once. It would work again. Anyone have any ideas on what is going on

For those interested, I thought some might enjoy our latest video. There are many talented weathering artists out there as well as many, many methods that can produce excellent results. This is simply just one method of many that focuses on the basics while using budget supplies.
While I use a lot of methods myself, this method is fairly easy and definitely inexpensive.
