Allagash Gets a Shortline Connection - Introducing the Oxford County R.R
Hey folks
Here are a bunch of images from the latest scenery project. This is for the newly-formed Oxford County R.R., which operates a portion of the former Allagash Rumford Point Branch. Phase 1 scenery is complete. Phase 2 will involve scenery work toward the opposite end of the benchwork where an Agway fertilizer blend plant is served. This is home base for the shortline - North Rumford, ME.

UPDATED, you say amazing not enough for this N&W live steam Y6B !!!!
Just to share with you the existence of this amazing model.
I had the chance to see severals time this fabulous model in the Dortmund toy fair which happens each year in april.
This amazing locomotive is the work of a german; yes a bit crazy .
This live steam model works like his prototype, she is not a simplified model but an accurate steam working model; she run on track of 7.25 and I believe is a 5' scale ( not sure of the name sorry).

The organizers of the Portland, OR RPM just announced on Facebook the date for the 2019 meet. It will be held on Feb. 9, 2019. Location to be finalized, but it sounds like a bigger venue and close to the airport. Mark your calendars, and get those models finished!
Moderators note: It's going to be at the airport Shilo Inn. For more information: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2001136043323501/

Protecting the Richlawn Railroad room
I've spent so much time focusing on my Richlawn Railroad layout that I had overlooked the very important fact that I haven't protected the room. We live in Florida (the Hurricane state - NOT the sunshine state) and we had a hurricane hit our area (central Florida) last year. During the last hurricane we lost some shingles and our outdoor garbage can enclosure so it wasn't that bad.

Best product for tree foliage
I’m about ready to purchase Super Trees from Scenic Express and already have their Super Leaf product, but what’s the best or most realistic foliage material or product to use as a base before adding the Super Leaf material? I’d like to use whatever product looks the most realistic, then add a final “coat” of the Super Leaves. Thanks!

Question about JMRI Panel Pro
I have downloaded and installed the latest version of JMRI and would like to use it to create a panel to assist in dispatching my railroad. Do I need to complete all of the info regarding trains, routes etc. etc in the dispatcher section or can I just create a Panel and click on the track diagram to indicate train position as engineers OS?
Kudos to Joe Atkinson
Just picked up the new June 2018 issue of RMC and Mr Joe Atkinson is the cover story with a layout tour article showing off his work. Knowing Joe and how humble he is, I know he would never toot his own horn, but it is a great article and tribute to his abilities and thouroghness to make one of the premier prototype based layouts around.
Go pick up a print or on-line issue and check it out for yourself.
well done Joe,
Just announced: Atlas acquires WKW/Life-Like N scale product lines

Computer to DCC
I hope this dont start a big commotion...but I have a digitrax Zephyr, and few different computers running windows XP and Windows 7. What would be the best connection path for DCC to Computer for me to run Decoder Pro and dabble into the JMRI realm? I know digiteax makes items has a brand new 4 version box. I've seen sprog mentioned loco buffer. Is there one or any other way that stands out??
