Coloring Track Ties (Sleepers) and Rail

I had been asked posters Al Carter and James B in another thread about the process and products that I used to color my ties (sleepers) and rails.  I didn't want to hijack N Scale Boiler's thread so I'll outline the process I use on my rails on my Richlawn Railroad.

Finding track

Anyone know where I can find n scale track that crosses ho track I want to include n scale and ho trains to run together on samelayout

thanks

Raymond Loewy

An interesting read about the life of Raymond Loewy, influential in the design of Fairbanks Morse and Baldwin locomotives:

Kansas City to be Last Operations Road Show Outing

Twenty years ago this month, a group of five people began building a large portable layout to give people a chance to try out timetable-and-train order operation, who might not otherwise have the opportunity. Fifteen years ago, the Operation Road Show's Wabash layout debuted at the 2003 NMRA National Convention in Toronto. Since that time, the layout has traveled to six national Conventions, and been a participant, from its home base, in the nearby 2007 Convention in Detroit.

Dispensing Plastic Glue

I am in the process of putting together an old Red Caboose reefer kit. I have a bottle of Faller Expert plastic glue with a needle like dispenser. A bit too much glue comes out. So I'm curious as to what else I can use. Tried tooth picks and have heard about using a 000 paint brush. The brush seems like a good way to spend a lot of money for a one time use, unless I missed something in the explanation.

Anybody have a better way????

55n3 Reboot - Proof of Concept

The first 55n3 site was put on the web in 2010. Due to medical problems I couldn't pursue this endeavor further. Time went by and I let the domain lapse. Now my medical problems have been under control, none of which were life threatening, just debilitating.

Been in and out of the hobby since 2010 and can't believe how such a short period has brought so much change. Most of the items discussed on the 55n3 website are no longer available and have to be sourced on E-bay.
