I just had an interesting phone conversation with a Paypal representative that told me something I did not realize. If you make a payment utilizing the 'family and friends option' , Paypal will not dispute the case for you if you have a problem.
And they may well draw the funds from you linked bank account,... rather than from your existing account with them.

Mother Nature takes her course
Well, it was bound to happen. Last evening we were hit with a very intense and nasty storm that lasted several hours. Talk about sideways rain! At any rate, our basement took in a lot of water -- all in my train room. I was sucking water with the 5-gallon Shopvac for a few hours and removed 65 gallons of water from the train room. It was an intense few hours but I kept the water out of the finished part of the basement, so no carpet of furniture damage. However, the damage in the train room was extensive,

2018 National Train Show, Day 1 - quick shots
Okay, it's Day 1 at the NTS and I decided to try something new. I knew there were several product announcements coming out, so I I took my camera around to do quick snaps and see what I needed to follow up on later as well.

Team track
Looking for some ideas for details for my team track area that is in a small branch line terminus during the mid fifties. So far I have an oil drum/garbage can, tires, barrel, and a forklift.

Silver/Aluminum/Chrome Paint for Walthers Plastic-sided Passenger Cars
I've got a plastic-sided Walthers Budd baggage car and I'm looking for suggestions on a good matching paint for some patch-up work. Here's a stock photo of the car:
Boxcar interiors
Does anyone have a quick trick for creating loads of flour sacks (or any material) either on a pallet or on the floor of a boxcar? I'm looking to scratch build the loads not purchase them. Also photos of boxcar loads would be helpful.
