Post them if you got them!
Following Threads and forums
Probably the wrong spot for this, but I cant find the "right" place for it --
Is there any way in this forum software to follow a thread or forum, ie, get e-mail messages when a new post is made etc?
Thanks

2018 National Train Show - the NTrak Layout
By my count (of the posters) seven different N-Trak clubs got together to build the N-Trak layout at the National Train Show. I think they had over a hundred modules as part of the layout.

Looking for club to donate N scale freight cars to
I've got a friend I'm helping clean out some N scale equipment (mostly Atlas and Micro-Trains). Cars are not decorated for modern equipment (1990-current).
Please keep it to verifiable clubs. First one to post, gets the cars.

Grandt Line
Have any of you received your Grandt Line order made during the final months/weeks surge once Grandt Line announced their retirement?
As yet, I have not received my $100+ order that was placed in April, I believe.
EDIT: Order placed and confirmed via email from Grandt Line on March 16.

National Train Show - Lost and Found...
From Spring Creek Model Trains:
Wharf pilings
I want to model some wood wharf pilings before they are driven into the ground. The area I model can have the height of the tides up to 11 to 53 feet.
How far would the piling have to go into the ground? I'm trying to figure out the overall length of them and have them brought in by rail.
Would there have been flat cars long enough to deliver pilings this long in the late nineteen-fifties? Or would they most likely be brought in by truck? Would they be already prepped with something so they would last in water and mud?
HO River Tug Boat
Has anyone built a HO River Tow Boat ? The only one I can find that looks good is by Custom Model Railroad. Pricey but looks worth it. Wanting to know if someone has built it and how did it go. Thanks in advance.

A Question on Operations Terminology
I have 4x6 cards for each train that runs during my operating sessions with terse instructions about that train's switching duties. Most switching involves picking up cars that have completed being loaded or unloaded and setting out cars that are to be delivered.
For years I have for called the “pickup” cars “outbound cars” since they are leaving that particular switching area and heading for the main yard. Likewise, I called cars coming from the main yard to the switching area “inbound cars”.

Finally programming my own engines
Since we have released the initial run of ProtoThrottles, I finally am starting to play with and program my own engines to operate realistically with the throttle.
