Sound and Sugar-cube Speakers
This was just recently posted on a Soundtraxx discussion I had started about the incompatibilities that could arise when running MTH locos with other DCC equipped locos. I found this 'sounds portion' very interesting,...

120-Ton Brownhoist Railroad Wrecking Crane
What style of trucks would have been used on this prototype crane? 120-Ton Brownhoist Railroad Wrecking Crane and is there an aftermarket version of the truck that would work?
Polly Scale Milwaukee Road Gray
I'm looking for a replacement for the PollyScale Milwaukee Road Gray and hoping someone out there is MRH land can help. While I understand there are still ways to get the PollyScale color I am looking for a more sustainable, long term solution. I use the Milwaukee Road Gray as the primary color for my railroad lineside structures. It is the closest to the gray the Nickel Plate painted their building.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Digging up some old videos
I was going through some of my old YouTube videos today and remembered this one from 2009. Also one of the favorite videos I ever shot.

Wiring up track feeders
Hi Everyone,
I'm getting ready to wire up my staging yard. Are there any potential issues with leaving decoder equipped locomotives on the track while feeder wires are being soldered to the rails? Same question applies to my command station / boosters. My own thoughts are to remove everything but just thought I'd ask.
Thanks, Dennis Drury

2018 HAPPY to start a NEW layout this YEAR
Happy New Year to all. Back in 2017 I was contemplating a large garage with loft for a big layout. After seeing the quote for just the bare bones garage and the adding in all the insulation electrical heating etc, I decided to not go that route. Instead I decided to make a smaller layout in the basement.

The Korea-Brass DCC Equipped Track Cleaner Power Car
Sometime over the course of last spring, I opened up a publication somewhere and discovered a review for a track cleaning car from a company I had never heard of before and have seen little of since. The car itself was reported to be self propelled, with a vacuum all under DCC control. Try as I may, I cannot find the publication to go back to the review, but I did write down the details for this curious contraption, searched for it online when I got home, and saved the link for the impending future where my Enlistment Bonus might make something like this happen.

The End W&N v2
The last two pieces of W&N version 2 were scrapped out, the remains of the old Coatesville. The rail, switches, switch mechanisms, and spikes salvaged and 30" of one piece will be recycled as a temporary bridge between the staging yard and the layout. The rest went in the dumpster. Long live W&N version 3.
Enough of this actual layout building stuff, I now return you to arguing about the nature of the hobby.
