Digitrax Release vs Dispatch

I'm just curious how many of you use the Digitrax Dispatch feature. My understanding is somewhat limited regarding this feature. As far as I can tell, it seems to apply mostly to older throttles that only supports 2-digit addresses.

So, does anyone use this? Or do you mostly ignore it and use release?

Shelf placement above the railroad for storage and LED lighting

Hi everyone.

I only have a centre light in my hobby room and am running out of display space for my scale plastic model aircraft and cars (see my modelling blog). I am planning to put up a run of 10" deep shelving above the railroad all the way around and use the LED strips recently advised in other posts. 

Can I get suggestions for the ideal height above the railroad both for access and for decent light distribution.

I apologize for asking a question that I'm sure has been asked a million times, but I've searched and tried the solutions I found and I'm still stuck, or rather, not stuck, actually speeding along the track high-ball style. To add insult to injury, I think I've solved this problem myself before, but its been long enough that I don't remember what I did. Its a cold and snowy night here, so maybe somebody else is stuck at home that can help me out.
