removable industrial switching area over hidden class yard lead?
I cruised the forums and didn't find much relevant to this, so a few thoughts from y'all would be helpful.
I have room to add a several track active classification yard, about 8' long. Conventional wisdom would have an 8' lead serving it.
So how much grief would I cause myself by having the most distant 6' of that yard lead hidden under an industrial switching area?
Automate a Point to Point Model Railroad with Arduino
If you want to get started in model railroad automation, then a basic point to point layout can be a good place to start other than an oval loop. Arduino is a great platform for these projects, due to low-cost and open-source hardware and free software.

Runaway Locomotive running DCC
Hi, I am running JRMI and using Engine Driver as my throttle on my android cell phone. Every once in a while I have a Locomotive that goes rough on me. I have tried to release the locomotive and then try to put it back into engine driver and then a question pops up asking me if I want to steal this locomotive and I answer yes but the same question keeps popping up. I have to remove the locomotive from the layout and pull out another one to continue with my operations. Does anyone have any idea why I cannot steal this locomotive? Thank you.

Wiring for Peco Insulfrog Code 83 turnouts for single crossovers...
What is the correct wiring for Peco Code 83 Insulfrog turnouts for single crossovers. Do you put insulated rail joiners between the 2 facing turnouts? How do you then wire for feeders beyond the frogs when they are mated to each other? Probably making this harder than it is. I understand the method for sifdings and yard ladders. How is this wired? Thanks!

Some Thoughts About DCC Decoder Installation
In addition to Jason Miller’s excellent article in this month’s Running Extra, I’d like to add another avenue of shared expertise. This weekend SoundTraxx announced their 8 function 21-pin DCC decoder and just recently ESU announced their new non-sound DCC Decoders. I follow the YouTube and have watched decoder installations fairly critically.
