Lighting project success
Hello every one, I got the parts in Thursday night and worked on it friday night and got it done. My SD45 lighting project. Long story short I was working on it a couple days after I got it and had to remove all the lights and the PC board and hard wire it. I tried re adding lights with resistors, but that didn't work. This time I used a TCS VR 1.5. I think it came out great. Got head light, roof beacon (it's suposed to be programmed as a prime stratolite, never heard of it and I'm awaiting a reply from a friend on how to do this) gyro light and class lights. Hope you like it.
A Fieldtrip to SASME: Welcome to Facebook!
I realized I've been completing projects but otherwise leaving the peanut gallery out of the fray! My apologies - here's a couple links!!
Wait a second!! Ok, I say links because I've been trying something newer but not new. I used to maintain a website on geocities, which neatly contained all my railroad projects and too much else. Ugh. Then they shut geocities down one night a couple years back and that was it, no more geocities. So I no longer post a website anymore.

Soundtrax Sound Decoder
Hi, Jack from Star, Idaho. I finally received my three truck 70 ton Spectrum Climax as a replacement for the defective Shay I sent back. They sent me one that has DCC but no sound. Where can I find the Tsunami sound chip that is factory installed? Bachmann shows the speaker but no information on the decoder. the PC Board shows the motor function decoder but not the sound. Soundtrax says that the decoder can be added but no information on the part number or decoder number. Does anyone have any ideas where I can find one of these? I don'

Alcove Expansion: Part 2 - Benchwork / Risers & Cleats
My latest fun on the alcove expansion is making over 40 risers with cleats. The picture below is a pile of them with half being 12" long and half 18" long. The risers are 1 x 3's and the cleats are 1 x 2 x 6". I glued the cleats onto the risers with yellow glue clamping them while I nailed in to finishing nails to hold everything together while the glue dried.

White Pass & Yukon Shovelnose Diesel
Does anyone know of a model of the Shovel Nose GEX3341 Class 92 Diesel

I hope to get over the mountains and visit the White Pass & Yukon - maybe this summer, the good Lord willin' and the creek don't rise.
I would love it in N Scale, but O would do (my Christmas Layout is On3) and even consider a G for the day the track finally makes it out into the backyard - or I negotiate right of way through the recreation room.

Port Andrews City Streets
It's finally happened........I went ahead and made an executive decision several weeks ago and decided on the arrangement of my buildings for the mean City Streets of Port Andrews. Here are the partially finished results. Still a lot of details to add, interior lightening to instal, etc. I also plan to model the full electrical system for the downtown area eventually. Many more pictures and detailed descriptions of the area and modeling techniques on my website on the photos page. http://wnrr.net
Any and all comments are welcome.

New Members From The Boy Scouts Of America -The Next Generation of Model Railroaders
Today I met with A scout Master that is taking 50 members of his BSA Troup on a weekend Rail Fan Trip with 9 other Fathers. They as a group are starting a Model Railroad Boy Scout Club and are building a model Railroad in the Church Basement or a Large Basement of some kind.
Tonight they are having a meeting and because they are all new to the hobby or most any way, I gave them all the information needed to join in with US here at the MRH Forums and incouraged them to Down load all the Issues of The MRH magazine.

Hello from Germany!
Hi, I'm Stefan from nearby Cologne, Germany. I'm building a layout in U shape, N scale. Until now the ground layer is almost finished (only the tracks) and below it is an 11 tracks fiddle yard for 25 trains.
I'm running my trains with DCC using a Tams MC as central station. It's connected to my computer where I use Windigipet to control my trains. I plan to run the main line automatically and to run the branch line myself.
