CSX Manual
Found this searching for something else. Nice of CSX (and I assume other road names) to post detailed prototype information. Apparently there are state specific requirements on clearances.

Benchwork Progress
I have made some significant progress over the last several weeks.

Videos of 8111
Here is a posting for my 8111 loco. Any comments should be made on my other forum about 8111, please. Thank you! http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/21812

8111 is still in trouble...
My first ever Lionel didn't come to me inside wrapping paper. I was in 4th grade, and it was at the town dump. A friend of our family saw it, and grabbed it for me. It was MPC era, and appears to be a incomplete, slightly mis matched 1970 "Yardmaster" set. I was going on a biking trip with my family that day, and couldn't wait until I could see the train. I dug it out of the box, and looked it over. Funny thing is, the container it was in was by coincidence a trash can, without a lid. The train was in junk condition. But it was complete. The tracks were rusty.

Coming Soon - HO Scale U-Posts - for all those signs that get in the way!
I had a request for U-Posts, and they are almost ready!
These are gonna' look great on the supply pile in the MOW yard, or on the MOW truck, or even holding up signs on your model railroad - which is actually what they are for - Who knew?!

Little Trees gets a fiddle yard
I recently completed the staging/fiddle yard for the Little Trees and Surfside. This is a simple shelf extension off of the right end, cantilevered over my office space.

IAIS's West End - Drone view of my prototype
Rob Koppert, a railfan in Atlantic, Iowa, posted the drone footage below of some weekend IAIS action at Atlantic. While it's 10 years past the date I model, I really got a kick out of seeing my prototype from this vantage point, and thought others might enjoy it as well. Rob wrote, "I was playing with my new toy on Saturday and shot the Atlantic Rover and CBBI-7 from a different vantage point than normal. I'm using a DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus quadcopter for some videography and this was the first and second flights."
To Michael Rose - LED lighting question
Regarding the new LED lighting boards that you created and are sold through Bill's store:
I am just a little worried about their availability in the future. I have no idea how many I'll need in the long run and definately can't afford to buy all I may think I need at this time. What is the future of this product?
I emailed Bill and he said since the company only will make them for you, that makes it a single point of failure type of operation. Just wondering if I should take the plunge.
Electrical Contact Performance Problems--
Gentlemen:
As far as Loco electrical contact problems, as a DCC decoder installer running my own business, I've encountered this on many engines! Mostly Bachmann Steam (4-8-2's, K4-4-6-2's), Athearn-Genesis Diesels, and even some of the older Atlas-Kato, and Stewart diesels(both made by Kato, or Bowser)!
The for the Bachmann 4-8-2 Steam, is to remove the wipers, that curve down toward the rail, and ad spring loaded "pin" wipers on the bottom axle cover, that line up 90 degrees directly with the backs of the wheel flanges!
