Advice on obtaining a memorial Canadian Passenger Train

Hi All,

A very good Canadian Army mate of mine was recently killed in a military accident and I want to put together a memorial train to him on my layout. I currently have very little knowledge of Canadian Railways so I was hoping someone could advise me on what I need and how I can get it.

Help with Keystone Shay Build

I recently purchased a Keystone HO 20 Ton 2 truck Shay kit and had the intention of building it as a working locomotive.  However, I have hit a brick wall as NWSL have advised me that they no longer make the kit for turning this little beauty into a working model. Ray Schofield has already been of huge assistance with some very helpful information but I am now on the hunt for the NWSL Kit #208-06.

Favorite DCC sound decoder(s)/settings for geared logging locos

I'm making decisions and assembling the necessary materials to add DCC sound to some of my HO geared logging locomotives (shays, climax, heisler).  As much as I would love to use TCS WOW decoders they apparently do not support shay (not sure about climax and heisler) chuff rates without resorting to cams.  There is also no support for rod clank and other drive train sounds.

Question about a weathered car.

Was hoping to get some feedback about the weathering on this car.   Trying to go for fairly lightly weathered, with mostly streaking down the sides.    Any improvements that can be made?

On30 4-wheel electric "critter" update

Well, the thing-a-week has flopped, but to be honest, I don't really care. I can't force myself to work on stuff, and in reality, my "thing a week" might actually be yard work or house repairs in a given week. *shrug*

Meanwhile, I have returned to work on the 4-wheel electric motor that started my thing-a-week challenge! Update so far: Cab is done. Chassis is mostly done. New deck installed. Hoods attached, weights reshaped to fit over the larger Kadee #702 coupler boxes. Pantograph installed.
