The Train Room aka The Mother in law room.
The Train Room aka The mother in law room. This room is 11.5' x 19.5' built on the back patio of the house. The owner before me used it as an art studio. I used it for storage at the time of the photos. The room has no climate control and 2 doors with 2 types of windows on the East (Glass Door Sliding Door) and West (Normal Door) walls. The north wall (Finished at this time) is a 2x4 stud wall with the back yard on the other side. The south wall is the the house (Cinder Block wall). You can see the slope in the ceiling fr
Moving blogging to MRH
I'm moving my blogging from Blogger at http://garagerr.blogspot.com/ to here, as MRH has a built-in community of helpful readers. In short, I'm building a sectional shelf layout in N scale depicting the Boston and Maine in the transition era.

Design for a track layout
I am building an HO scale layout with DCC. I am providing a layout of what I get to work with. My problem, is still stuck on the drawing board. I can't seem to get a place to start. I have a list of what I would like on the layout, but that is it. Can anyone help in designing a layout for me?
layout
Hello all, I am from France and would like to build my first layout with US trains (so big, coloured and beautifull).
Do you have any suggestion to make a nice layout as dogbone shape (approx lenght in Cm 585cm, I do confuse with inches and feet system!) My width will be 70 cm and approx 1square meter on each edge.
thanks for your help.

West Kootenay Branch Line
I've been lurking here for the most part over the last couple years. My first blog posting on this site was to introduce and post up details, etc, on the build process of my ISL based on a fictional branch line in my neighborhood managed by Canadian Pacific called the "Scarborough Harbor Branch Line".
Design idea for a logging/mining layout
Hey everyone,
It's been a long time since I have posted.
But good news... I have acquired a new area to build a layout. The room will be approximately 14'x15', with a 3'x20' staging/reverse loop area. I have yet to even stud out the walls, so I have a long way to go before running trains.:D
