Very Nice Looking

I like the contrasting black and blue sky backdrop. It really brings the eye into the layout. Your bench work looks to be top notch as well. I assume this is going to be an HO layout? Are you going to use DCC? Where is the layout located in your house? Just curious as most of our layouts in the U.S. tend to  be in the basement. Not all of course but many.

Luis, Looking good. I am

Luis,

Looking good. I am glad I am not the only guy who uses AutoCAD for designing the layout or portions therein. I think we are up to three now. Love to hear more about your design work with ACAD. Love the benchwork. It would survive the worst my kids could do to it. Looking forward to seeing and hearing more on this.

If you ever have an interest in 3D CAD, and don't have access, let me know...

That black ceiling....

....really makes sense to me. Makes the whole room look bigger and is not a distracting element. It is one of this things I considered in the past but was not man enough to actually do it.

Wonderful

The planning and the bench work are great. I would think the bench work is strong enough to support a real locomotive. Nothing is going to knock it down.

MORE INFORMATION

HELLO EVERYONE.
THANKS A LOT TO YOU FOR ALL YOUR COMMENTS.
FOR A LITTLE MORE FURTHER INFORMATION , I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT I HAD THE IDEA TO BUILD SOMETHING CLOSE TO FOREST AND MOUNTAIN. FINALLY, I DECIDED TO MAKE THE LAYOUT WITH THE THEME OF THE "MEXICAN" IN THE PLACE BETWEEN "ESPERANZA" AND "ORIZABA."

"ESPERANZA" IS A VERY SPECIAL TRAIN STATION WHICH HAD A TURNTABLE, IT STILL THERE AND YOU CAN SEE ON GOOGLE MAPS AND A HOUSE FOR TWO MACHINES.

Engine House

Walthers Engine House

THE TRACK PLAN ALSO HAVE A BRIDGE, I WILL USE A MICRO ENGINEERING, MEASURING 96 CM LONG AND THE HIGHEST POINT IS IN 46 CM, WITH ITS RESPECTIVE  FLEXIBLE TRACK. HERE WAS A FAMOUS BRIDGE CALLED "METLAC".

OHhhh Sorry the Basic Information.
My Layout is Ho Scale.
I will work with code 83.
My tournouts are number #6 Micro Engineering.
Minimum radio 28"
Maximum radio 30"
Maximum Step grade 2.8%

For the Benchwork

I used 4 playwood sheets of 3/4" of thickness.
Approximately 45 tables of pine of 3/4 " of thickness and 10 cm of width (8ft length ).
25 Wood polin of 3"x3" (8ft length)
And many screws.

The layout is located at Basement.... yes this is not common in Mexico city, probably the houses with basements are
less than 3% in all Mexico. One of the reasons for built a solid Bench work is that we are located in a Seismic place.

The other one is because when i built my first layout at 13 years old, It turned into a roller coaster.cheeky

I like to work with Autocad... it´s funny and give you simple but real solutions.

Muy Impresionante!

Fantastic benchwork.  If possible keep it unconnected from the walls, and put rubber pads under each leg, for seismic.  The trestle you include could be placed in the narrow portion between the two "bulbs" and, if you remove the bottom, could go almost to the floor!

Tu carpinteria es hermosa.  La idea que comente arriba, sobre el puente, se me ocurrio mirando el video.

METLAC BRIDGE

HELLO!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS.

THE BASES OF EACH  LEG HAS ADJUSTABLE SCREW. I WILL CONSIDER SOME   RUBBER  BELOW THEM IF IT IS POSSIBLE. THE LAYOUT NOW WEIGHS BETWEEN 350 AND 400 KG. AS TO THE BRIDGE, I WANTED TO MAKE A LAYOUT AROUND THE AREA, BUT IS NOT POSSIBLE BECAUSE THE SPACE IS REQUIRED FOR WAREHOUSE. THEREFORE THE BRIDGE IS DESIGNED TO BE USED IN ONE OF THE LOBES.

MOREOVER, THIS IS THE PRELIMINARY STAGE, I WILL BUY PLYWOOD TO MAKE THE STRUCTURE

OF THE MOUNTAINS AND THE FACIA THAT GOING AROUND THE LIMITS OF THE LAYOUT.

MY DEAR NEIGHBORS

HELLO
First, I want to show you a prototype of what will be one kind of cactus at HO scale called "Maguey". The model is made of steel and injection through the following result was obtained even unpainted.

Although they seem very large, actually belong to a specie used for production of an alcoholic beverage called "pulque".

I read the latest issue of September. And when you think about pests, you might never imagine in giant scorpionsAt least that happened in my layout. How? Just look and keep reading

Seriously. What happened is that I found these two dear neighbors, dead out of my layout. Since starting, I found 20 dead scorpions. Constantly I spray poison. Certainly it is not common find these animals in México city. But there are. So if anyone tells you that you can not see scorpions at 8057.718 ft over the sea ....come to Mexico City, and if you have time, come to my layout and fight against the giant scorpions.

"No animals were harmed"

Best Regards
