Hi!!

Hi! Alan & Dan, This´s supposed to be a kind of freelance inspired in one place located not so far from México city, but trust me it will look fine. Since there is not "real" mexican layouts, i´m readapting all that i can find. I will try to bring washes to the stone, good advice.
Best Regards
Luis Fco.

Luis, we need an update!

Luis, it has been far too long since you posted progress on your layout.  How about letting us know what is going on there?  I was really interested in what you were doing.

Thanks!

NEW UPDATE

Hello everyone

It has more than a year that I have not done any updates.
Well, using my vacation I could cut the back fascia as you can see in the pictures. Is not yet fixed to the modules. The reason is because I need to paint the scene.

I could install the turntable and is already operating.

I also built some structures.
I made another water tank but now with two outlets.

The "Mexican cab" can give you a size reference

The work is based on the next photo

I also weathered a Sand Tower

Water Spout

With a locomotive Athearn Dummy, I made some modifications to incorporate it as scrap

I also made a modification to an Atlas Trainmaster CPRail
I used the underframe, cut the counterweights, and adapted the body of a Athearn. Still requires add details like grabirons.

With CPRail body, I used to repaint and add more scrap to my Junkyard

I hope to finish a few more structures and to show you this weekend.

Fantastic!

It all looks great, but I love the water tower especially.

You make it look easy!

Very nice work. I am going to try your technique for painting the RR ties. Keep the photos coming.

Quite fine modeling

Hola Luis Francisco;

Your modeling is superb (including the "vochito" cab). and your layout too. Nice to have Latin flavor modeling in this blog. Have to browse other entries for further comments and questions.

Thanks Guys!

Hi Robert, Bill & Henry, I hope give more pictures and try to advance more in the next months. Since i started to work I never have had time. But now i started to give me a little space. My idea is making modules, independent between them. So probably i will use  polystyrene "pink".I spent aproximately $1600usd in all the construction (dry wall, paint, wood, screws, track, turnout, etc...) Then using polystyrene will increase the budget, but it´s not a big deal.
See you next time
