The world's most useful model railway

I just find this fascinating,

Cement Rail Grade Crossing/Level Crossing

painting is with a paper towel just blotting it on,  yes it could be done with an air brush for better looks.  I need to get a more white grey paint than the tan grey paint.  The detail is very very small but accurate, but being small and to scale,  most of the small detail does not show up when you are printing at .004mm resolution.  This model is a combination of multiple crossings.  I took things I liked from some and removed things I did not like.   Not an exact copy of cross but close and most people would not notice or care anyway

BLOGS - MRH Website 2.0 Blocking Comments.

On the MRH 2.0,  Is it set up so people can not comment on BLOGS?  I have noticed over some time you have some real good layout story's or BLOGS,  The problem is you have to dig past 8 pages of comments before getting to the next entry in the BLOG. And almost all of it is useless comments that did not value added to that BLOG.

New wall mount A/C unit in the train room

Might as well make a 3D version of the New A/C wall mount A/C unit...  The pre prints on the Printer look great in HO as well as N

Noting ever changes tell you look at the way back machine

Noting ever changes tell you look at the way back machine.

Looking at an old video of the layout I operate on from over 8 years ago,  I forgot how much has changed during that time.  Compared to what we have today it is a different animal.

Progress can be seen every place compared to over 8 years ago,  If anything it reminds us how important it is to document your progress to see what changed over time.

Next Project

Barrel Roof / Bowtstring Truss Building.

I needed to add supports to print this,  might as well make them look like a truss.

Too bad no one will ever see the truss supporting the roof.   After they build the building, someone needs to pick it up off the layout and look at it up from the bottom.

Not sure if I'm wasting my time for something that no one will ever see and should of just used normal supports.

it will be 40' x 60' and will be a close copy of the actual building

Intentionally creating conflicting train movements for operators during operation

Intentionally creating conflicting train movements for operators during operation.

It was pointed out my layout is not set up logically,   Why is the Top most part of the layout mostly run out of Old Pueblo Yard on the lower section of the layout?  Why do you run most of the upper part of your layout from the yard on the bottom level of the layout?

Your Layout is point to point, would it not be better to run all the upper area as one section and the lower area as another section?

Commission done

This is for a O scale operator,  I was commission to help produce Precast Concrete Pipes for a gondola load for his operating layout.

You can also see the Precast Concrete Pipes in both HO and N,  For fun I did a mock up of his idea (He will be suing real wood) and printed it out in N scale,  makes a rather nice load and gives me an idea of what it will look like in O scale. He just needs to light sand and paint the O scale ones do to the vector lines showing up in such a larger scale.  But one model 4 scales.
