that looked like a good idea.

Those were incredibly dangerous. A friend of mine was killed our freshman year of highschool in the late 1980s. It rolled over on top of him, but I guess the boxcar would have done it too? I wonder if anyone ever really tried to pull a car at an industry with one of those?

Not impressive

Someone on YouTube did the math out on the effort to pull railcars after the F-150 electric ad, and it turns out it just doesn't take that much on level ground.

doesnt take much

I have seen cars blown out of yard tracks by wind. On one occasion I had to chase one down that was headed for the main.

Yeah, it really doesn't take all that much to move a boxcars on level track. There are several "strongmen" who have done it alone, pulling trains in excess of 150 tonnes.
