MRH Website general discussion

Building an MRH Wikipedia for model trains
One idea that's fairly easy to add to our web site technology is a wiki. This means we could take the best of what gets posted on MRH and begin building a model railroading knowledgebase - think Wikipedia for model trains.
This is to open the discussion on that idea. What are your thoughts?

What happened to my "Rocks in My Head" post? - Possibly maked as spam in error.
Anybody know what happen to my "Rocks in My Head" post? It seems to have disappeared.
UPDATE: The post was probably accidently marked as spam.

Rocks in my head? - L&N river rock ballast
**NOTE: The reason this post is showing up again is because I edited the title to make it more descriptive and easier to find.
Rocks in my head? That must have been the question my sister was thinking about me when I asked if I could borrow a shovel, spade, clippers and a bucket so that I could dig up rocks while I was visiting her in Louisville, Kentucky last week. She probably is right, but she was such a good sport that she went with me on my quest.

Norton gives the MRH site a clean bill of health
There have been some concerns posted recently that Norton was reporting possible malware issues with this web site.
If you go to Norton's web site tester and put in model-railroad-hobbyist.com, they report that our web site is clean as a whistle, and A-OK.

Experimental recent post
The filter on the experimental recent posts would be a nice addition. I would like to suggest adding an additional checkbox to NOT view the filter selection. IE not "Topic"

Nick Muff's KCS
ARRRGH! I can't believe it. I just spent a very enjoyable 30 minutes visiting Nick Muff's fantastic KCS. When I came to the MRH website to give it an "awesome" rating I accidentally rated it "Poor". I think I need a Do Over button. What a great railroad. Thanks Charlie for the interview and for including it in this month's issue. Great Job!

Signals
Hi All,
Is anyone using "The Signaling Solution" products? My initial interest is the MSC (Master Signal Controller). I will be using the DCC Specialties "Block Watcher" for detection. Since the components can be used without a computer, this will save some initial expense. Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks, Jeff Drennan

Found this photo in a stashed away file...
Just this past weekend I was sorting through a file of old photos that I had stashed away in a closet. I came across this black and white photo of a Southern Pacific 2-10-2 "Santa Fe Class" locomotive in HO scale. The model and photo were owned by a good friend, Paul Jansen. The photo was taken sometime in the mid-1960's. Paul was a well known super detailer of HO brass, running his business from his home workshop in California.
