Database glitch
We just had a database glitch and had to take the site offline temporarily. All is better now, but if you posted a comment from 1 pm - 1:20 pm today, it probably was lost.
Please post your comment again, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
The cause of the database glitch was the carbon unit that sits between the keyboard and the monitor - in other words, I fat-fingered something while editing out the last of the old vps ... modelr5/ urls in posts! Thank God I took a backup first!
Prior magazine or newsletter pages showing new or updated
We are trying out better ways to work our download links, so if you see a new or updated on the March newsletter or on Issue 1, it's because we changed how the download links work.
If you already have downloaded Issue 1 or the March newsletter, there's really nothing new except how the links work - so you can safely ignore those notations. There's really nothing new that you would care about.
Screen Header Photos
Hi Guys!
I found your website after going thru looking at various links from various other sites and I have to say this site is exactly what I've been looking for. I have gained renewed motivation to get on with my own layout and I am pleased to say I have finished all the wiring, which is not my forte.
Is there a photo gallery that has the shots used for the page headers? I have drawn inspiration from some of them and having hard copies to work from would be very helpful with scenery work.
Movie Monday Hiatus
With three weeks left until the release of issue 2, all the troops again are focusing on producing the issue so Movie Monday is taking a hiatus until April 20th.
Improving our download process
We've gotten enough feedback from various people (including advertisers) who have had problems getting our PDFs to download that we've redesigned the download process to make it simpler and more dummy-proof.
You may have noticed in Recent Posts a lot of page updates dealing with downloading Issue 1, the Feb newsletter, and our advertisers kit.
Movie Monday
I don't see this weeks scheduled Movie Monday feature listed yet. Was this an oversight or am I missing something? It won't be unusuall for me if I missed something because I admit that I do have penchant for doing that.

Clicking this link immediately takes to back to the Recent posts index so you can click on the next thread of interest.
This beats scrolling back and forth between the bottom of a thread and the top of the menus on the right to click Recent posts again!
Listening to MRH movies in the car..
Hi,
Last night I was heading to an Op Session and had no available model railroad podcasts. I usually like to listen to the ModelRailCast show or the Scotty Mason show when I travel to sessions. I decided to try to make an audio file I could burn to CD from Joe's DCC Clinic and from the LDSIG clinic to listen to.
To do this I needed to extract the audio from the flv files.
First chance I have had to peruse since downloading
And I give Kudos to the publishers! The only thing I have read in detail is Marty Mc's column, but if that is any indication of the rest of the publication, this "mag" is defintately a keeper!
Good Luck (although I doubt you will need any luck) on this endeavor!

Over on Bernie's thread about his Civil War modeling blog and where it lives, the question of where's the best place to host your model railroading blog has come up. No reflection on Bernie or anyone else who posts on here who has a great blog elsewhere - so please don't hear that.
But, I am wondering ...
What would it take so you would *prefer* to make us your blogging site of choice?
