Feel Happy and Bummed at the same time

I just sold one of my locos on craigslist and I feel happy and bummed at the same time.  Great loco, but it didn't fit it with my all SP approach to modeling now.  The good thing is that a newbie bought it.  He was a little concerned because there were no horn hook couplers on it.  I told him that I would show him how to convert his current rolling stock to knuckle couplers.

The bottom line. . .

Happy to make a little money

Happy to see a newbie in the hobby

Bummed to see a great loco go.

Hummm, Opera Browser issues?

I don't know if this was brought up before. I'm posting to see if anyone else uses Opera as their web browser, and if so, are they having issues? I just "made the switch" due to the reliability issues of FF3.

The home page of MRH has some formatting issues in Opera. Also, the file upload system does not work. I think the latter is just a Java Script error on my end that can be fixed.

Seeking Fellow Model Railroaders In Miami Florida ...

We are looking for fellow model railroaders to start a Model Railroad Club here in Miami since there are currently none.

If there is enough interest I will provide some exciting details. Please let me know what scale you model? What are your specialties (scenery, maintaining engines & rolling stock, track, wiring, etc.)

How about putting the page jumps at the top and bottom?

The first itme I came to this forum, I read through every article and post that looked to be of interest to me.  Now I generally open the "Recent posts" page and go to those threads that I'm following that have added new content since my last visit.  In some cases the threads or blog entries as the case may be have many pages of posts.  In order to get to the new posts, it is necessary to scroll down to the bottom of page one to "click" on "last page."  Browsing would be easier if the page list and "last page" was on the top as wel

Plain text editor "problem"

FYI

There's seems to be a minor issue with the forum's message editor but only when making a reply. There's a link under the entry frame to "Switch to plain text editor" which I use so I can spot any spelling errors. However, the link while in plain text editing does not say "Switch to rich text editor." It still says switch to plain but the function does work and returns me back to the rich editor. Both links read correctly and work as expected when creating a new topic.

Trouble updating profile image?

Hi,

I can't seem to change my profile image. Is there an issue with that or am I just being dense?

Chris

Have you guys considered a "Return button"n the bottom of the pages in the discussion forum?

On most of the message boards I frequent, if you make a post or reply to a post, there is a return to "button" at the bottom of the page.  It saves the time needed to scroll back up to the top to return to the forum or switch to a different forum.

Once again lost almost an hour of typing..

I accidentally brushed the back button on my mouse. Because of the way this software works, when you go forward everything is gone. GONE!

I know I should go to preview from time to time.. or copy it out and save it to a notepad.. but I get going and I don't always think of it. Its a very frustrating behavior this otherwise fancy editor has.

I will try again to write my post tomorrow but its never the same the second time around.

Thanks to MRH I am #1 on Google

Thanks to MRH, searching for ChrisNH on google brings my blog up as the #1 hit.

I am several listing above the doof in southern NH who uses my name on twitter. I would NEVER wear a black turtle neck unless I was robbing a bank. Must be a mac user trying to look like Steve Jobs.
