To Blog or not to blog
I am thinking of starting a blog to report the progress on my new layout but i am unsure i i should. i do not feel that my layout construction skills may be up to par and and i am also unsure how to start it. i would like to share my layout and the techniques i use to build it. i was hoping to get a little advice on what to do and how to start it. how i should structure it as i have never done anything like this before.
Thoughts and ideas would be appreciated

proto 2000 diesels
I have 2 proto 2000 units, a gp30 and an Alco FB that have started making clicking sounds when running...anyone else have any similar problems and how did you correct it....Thanks

Does anybody know? If so, you could make a fortune!
Does anybody know the answer to this question?:
After a train with the same cars has gone through the same area on the same track over 150 times, why on trip 151 does one of the cars derail (in a straight section of track)? An inspection of track, cars.....everything reveals no problems. Oh, and of course if I run the same train over the same track again it doesn't derail - but perhaps on trip 177 a different car derails in a different area!

Introducing the NCIOG
I'd like to introduce the NCIOG - North County Interchange Operating Group. The North County Interchange Operating Group is a model train club focused on the construction and operation of our own personal home layouts. One of the things I really like about the group is it's "loose" rules - here's a sampling:

Sunday Sillyness - Coming or going?
So, it's Sunday and I was sitting around reading the MRH forums when I thought with all of the talk about prototypical vs freelance that I'd post a picture of a loco I bought on ebay just for fun.

Going back to postindex
Hello!
As I was browsing through my ’backlog’ of unread articles of MRH web posts, I experience the following error:
I open a thread on e.g. page 5, and as I press “>> Posts Index” I do not return to page 5 but to page 1.
The behaviour is just the same using “Recent web posts” and “Recent posts (new experimental”.
Am I missing something here?
(Using Windows 7 and Firefox 6)

Buy American
Buy American ... if you can.
I bought some 14 gauge Romex at the local Home Depot wanna-be for my DCC track buss. Out of curiosity, I wondered where it was made. I don't know at this point. But something on the label made me think it maybe wasn't Made in USA.

Need Guidence - Building Interiors
I have some DPM and Cornerstone buildings some built, some in the process of being built. I really would like to add interior detail. The current months MR has some good articles. I have seen pictures of some wonderful completed buildings with some type of interior with lighting but have no clue how to start...
So I have two problems:
1. How do I add interior detail to a building under construction? (4 walls painted and glued.)
Got an Email
I got an email this morning telling me that I was un-subscribed from Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine, so I came to the site and signed in like I always do, no issues there, until I hear from someone, I will not click on links provided in the email, since it could be someone just phishing for passwords and such, don't know why they would want that here, as it wouldn't give them any financial information, but just wondering if I need to re-subscribe again!
