A Simple Question about Picture File Size
Is there a simple way to reduce the size of a picture file in order to post it? The posting mechanism tends to reject a lot of my pictures claiming that the file is too large. How does one get a 1.4 MB file down to less than 1 MB?

Recent SPAM Topics/Posts
Hi Joe,
I noted a couple of recent posts that I believed to be SPAM and marked them such. This got me to wondering about your forum and site registration, and how you handle SPAM bots and "Peggy" typists (Peggy is the guy in the CC commercials in a far-away place handling customer calls). I don't recall the registration process here, but I imagine there was some sort of CAPTCHA. This will halt most, but not all SPAM bots and dubious visitors.

Hi guys,
I noticed that when viewing a post and clicking on the "Home / Forums" link, that I'm sent to the "Let's Talk Trains!" section. In order to see all forums, however, I have to again click the "Home / Forums" link.I also noted in the right-hand menu that there are two "Recent posts" link/buttons. One shows tabs ("All recent posts" and "My recent posts", while the other does not.
Append to existing blog
I have a blog started a number of days ago and would like to append to it. I started as a reply but saw that I was not able to save the document until I wanted to publish it. IE, there wasn't a Make this post private check box.
Can I append to my existing blog entries without replying?
Or should I just start another blog entry though the subject is the same?
Inspiration or Love at first site
While at a Model RR Club this past weekend they had a questionnaire next to the sign in desk as you came into their Lobby and display area. The Title read "Inspiration or love at first site" which asked nothing about the love at first site. I thought I'd ask some of the 17 questions on their list here. I added the last two question to theirs and left off 10 or so that had nothing to do with railroads.
Just a few Questions that inspired you or attracted you to Model Railroading.

Whoa. I've been mostly MIA for the past few weeks... and I just had to go back to Page 10 of the Recent Posts list before I ran out of "New Comments."
Catching up could take some time.
Receiving E-Mail Replies to Forum Topics of Interest
Is there a way to have replies to topics to which I've contributed or have an interest E-mailed to me similar to the feature on the MR forums? This would save having to go back to check for new additions on older forum topics in which I have an interest. This feature on the MR forum can be turn off when you no longer want to receive updates to the specific topic.

Re-organizing the back issues
We're reorganizing the back issues on this site to all be under a parent called MRH Magazine - All issues ... so you'll be seeing some of this in recent posts.
That's what it is, in case you're wondering. We're starting with issue 1, and then moving forward from there.
Voting for articles
I think the voting system for articles is in need of some improvement. At present it is possible for anyone, whether a subscriber or not, to vote for any article as often as they like, making it too easy to skew the results. Perhaps it should be limited to subscribers only and then only one vote per person (or is it per computer?).
Also, when making comments on articles, can you show the average voting result at the top along with the number of votes cast? It would provide more interest for the punters.
