Grand Rapids Convention

Does it get any better.  Coverage of the convention while it is still going on.  The print mags will have their articles in the October issue.

Is the recent thread on DCC uncouplers shut down or just "full up"?

Clearly it got silly and personal, but I was wondering if there was a limit to the number of posts a thread can hold?

Slight Improvement Suggestion to the Forum Pages Format?

Now that we have so many forum postings that go on for several pages, I find that I always have to scroll to the BOTTOM of the first page, to get a link to the latest last page. The topic always opens at the first page.

Would it be a good idea to DUPLICATE the inter-page links at the TOP of each page as well as the BOTTOM? I don't think it would be a big job to make as a global change.

Forums for SP and related discussion

This post is aimed at Joe Fugate,

A few years ago I discovered your website which centered around your layout and on it there was a forums which naturally centered around the Southern Pacific.  I participated in that forum for a matter of months and this it was shut down, although the forum still remains there where you can still see the posts.

KCS West Bottoms - 1st OPS Session

Just completed the first OPS session on my KCS layout.  I have a lot to do on the layout but wanted to get some trains running.  My goal was to have an OPS session before Labor day.  This was a small OPS session with two guests Scott and Rusty running the KCS West Bottoms Switcher.  While there is no scenery and the buildings are mock-ups, the track work is completed and is a very close representation of the actual KCS trackage in the Kansas City West Bottoms area in the fall of 1981.

Making Invites to join MRH

We had a forum going about selling MRH on eBay to get more members joining, but I couldn't find it.  So, I started this new forum on how to go about getting more members and vendors involved in MRH.  I have been inviting those individuals I have contact with outside of MRH who are in the business for or are just folks involved in model railroading.  What I am doing is forwarding the weekly notice with my invitation.

Around the world members? Joe?

Joe,

I was having a discussion about MRH with an acquaintance.  I mentioned that we have members from around the world.  I was curious if you have a way of tracking that information?  It could help in getting new sponsors.
