The Shortest (Model) Run-around...?
Dear MRHers,
OK, here's one for the "can conceptualise in isolation" layout designer, trackplanner,
and specifically the "trackplanning for operations" modellers...
New Modeler Switching Plan
Hello Everyone, I am new to modeling (I did have a layout as a kid though) and for the last little while have been thinking of starting a new layout. After spending time deciding what i want to do I decided on a small 9ft long shelf layout. Don't want to get overwhelmed with a larger layout, and more interested in the modeling.
Perks of a Small Model Railroad
Perks of a Small Model Railroad - Today I am talking about the perks of a small model railroad. I am a huge fan of small model railroads. They are an excellent way to be involved in the hobby. They actually have some benefits over large model railroads. Today we discuss them.
3rd Plan-it: Room size limited to 20x20 feet??
I fully realize that I am late to the party regarding this software by years. Nevertheless, I have decided to give this a try in earnest as my 2 empty buildings are not going to figure out uses for each other any time soon. Hence I purchased the 3rd plan-it.
My freelance NS and CSX railroad.
Welcome to the Schmidt Division of CSX and the Berry Division of NS in HO Scale.
The name of Schmidt for the CSX division is named after my late grandfather who worked for the railroad for 50 years. The name of Berry for the NS division is named after a close friend of mine who honestly got me back into train both model and prototypes.
Section track off turntable for small branch line terminus?
I've been entertaining the idea of a section track off of this TT, but don't know if it would be a realistic thing to do.
If it is realistic to do, I'll shoo off the cow.
Multi level layout: recommendations ...
Last week we had very heavy rain, my complete basement was flooded. So there is a lot to do - but it will also be the starting point for a new layout room.
I'm planning a two or three level layout - not sure about it yet. I'm thinking about different depths for the levels.
Do you have any recommendations or experience with depth to go where? Narrowest level at top or bottom?
Any comments highly appreciated!
