Wayfreight Video on the Columbia & Western

Hi everyone:

With the recent completion of the last major bridge on my model of CPR's Boundary subdivision, I thought it was worth the effort to video document what running a wayfreight on the mountainous C&W is like.  I tried using the small Looxcie camera to capture interesting views and its small size certainly does allow for interesting trackside and "on train" angles.

Just wondering when to expect the rest of March show.

Alco S4 Working Bownell

Here is a short video of Maine central 568 shoving some loads into Bownell Furniture & Appliance.  They have to cross Tower Street backing into the loading dock area.

N-Scale camera for layout trip wanted

I'm looking for a camera that can be used in N-Scale. I've see one so far and it looks like a thumb drive. But the instructions are so bad I could barely figure it out - then it quit working. "Wait for the earthquake" was one translation!

Anyway, can anyone recommend decent cameras of the proper size? And where to get them?

PAINTING BACKDROPS FOR LARGE LAYOUTS

A new set of videos focusing on how to paint backdrops in a quick and effective way. Really meant to help those that have large layouts with long narrow isle ways and lots of running space. I will take you through the whole process of one person painting 25 feet in less than three hours. It is something the whole club or team can do and there is no special skills required. Just some paint brushes and courage. Follow the series and give it a try.

BUILDING THE LYON VALLEY NORTHERN

Welcome to the building of the Lyon Valley Northern.  This historical record provides a pictorial account of the fun I had building the layout.  The journey starts with benchwork construction, then track laying, scenery, industrial structures and more.  Lots of captions on processes I used which may help you in your model railroad efforts.  Enjoy.
