I appreciate your on line magazine. As I am totally new to this hobby, your articles, and the information I can obtain from your advertisers is incredible. Thank you.
NEWS FLASH: Ohm's law just repealed!
Due to the fact that Ohm's law has been proven to be confusing and frustrating to some people it has been repealed. It's possible that it will be replaced by: N / Z x X = the square root of pie. ;-)

Designing a One Town Hawaiian Railway
Inspired by the one town layout concept, I want to explore what can be done in my space using On30 locomotives and rolling stock to represent a very small portion of the OR&L (Oahu Railway & Land Company).
Please share your thoughts and sketches!
I’ve added a “dream space” to keep in mind while developing the first module for future use in a layout. 3/24/18

"The youth is not Interested in our hobby" A rebuttal
I keep on reading about how this hobby is dieing. The main issue I find is that there is this perception that the youth is not interested. Honestly I think that it is a load of malarkey. Let me give ya'll some background. I am one of the younger people who finds this hobby to be a great escape from the stresses of life. I am a 21 year old who is living in a small apartment near a college. Right now I have a 2' x 3' N scale layout because that is what space allows.

With the expansion of the GS&M I was able to gain a lot of extra space. The problem is the GS&M was built to fit into its 12'x 20' space. At this time what is the PHX end staging is now reached via a Huge Helix down to the bottom staging level for all the shared staging on the layout (PHX - North & TUC - South).
Helix Pieces have arrived.
As part of my new layout here in Emo, I decided to add a helix and create a double deck layout. As of yet I don’t have a workshop to do any specialized cutting so cutting helix sectors was on hold.

I'm scratchbuilding a loading dock for my #NMRAContest entry. I have to admit, it turned out well. I was proud. I showed my wife who was suitably impressed (who do I want to impress?) There was a piece of wood that was oversized and I waiting for the glue to dry before I cut it off. While cutting it off, my hand slipped (WAY too much pressure on the blade) and my hand literally crushed the delicate structure. I can repair it. But that's not the point. I learned to be more humble and to take time and let the blade do the work and not my muscle. I needed 2 things. 1.
