As part of my new layout here in Emo, I decided to add a helix and create a double deck layout. As of yet I don’t have a workshop to do any specialized cutting so cutting helix sectors was on hold. Lucky me I found a “local” business (two hours away) that could CNC my pieces. A few emails and a few dollars later and my pieces arrived.

This is a 30” on center helix. First turn sits out farther than the rest. Rob Clark’s Cornhill and Atherton helix is the effect I am aiming for.  https://cornhillandathertonrr.blogspot.ca/

I have been working on the bench work and am along as far as I can go until I get a bunch of stuff taken out to the garage that won’t be built until spring.
