HO model of circa 1955 Talgo (ACF)

Has anyone manufactured a model of the circa-1955 Talgo train? This would be the one built by ACF. I'm not sure if it was built in '55ish or if that's just when it was making a tour of the states, looking for a desperate john. Oh, what coulda/shoulda been! Here it is on the DL&W:

Decal question - how to apply lettering over boxcar ribs?

Hey, everybody. I have a Roundhouse FMC boxcar kit that I plan to strip and re-paint for the Savannah State Docks RR (Georgia Ports Authority). A prototype photo is here.

Narrow gauge modelling using OO/HO track (16.5 mm gauge).

Hi all,

Dave B asked

For those who might be  considering a narrow gauge layout based on HO gauge track what are the pros and cons of 1/55 scale 3 foot ,1/64 3.5 ft ,and 1/72 3.9 ft modeling?  I guess one could add 1/36 scale 2 foot gauge to the possibilities?....

Dozer

I purchased this bulldozer just over 7 years ago.

Needed a break from working on rolling stock so today I took it apart, and weathered it.

Lynden Lions Club Model Train Show

My mother emailed this Washington State newspaper excerpt to me and I wondered if anyone had heard of this or attended.

A happy Thanksgiving long weekend to fellow Canadian model railroaders.

Hope you are all doing well hobby wise and wherever you may be.

Tap and Die Set

I'm thinking of getting a Tap and Die set... I don't really NEED it... (yet) but if I HAD it, I just know I would find use for it...

So... someone suggest a nice (but inexpensive... like... $30-$50 range) set that's small enough for model railroading...

MRH advertisers preferred, but not necessary.

Ooh... I should go check out Micro Mark... oh... wait... I should wait to see what you guys suggest, so I at least know what to look for. (I suspect something that works for couplers, and trucks in HO would be helpful)

Hump Yard Design And Operation

Everyone:

Except for the hump yard on the original Chicago Museum of Science and Industry(O Scale) and Allen McClellands' original V&O layout, has there ever been any other working HO Scale hump yards of note? If you were going to build a working hump yard, how long would you make your bowl tracks? What about the grade of the hump hill?  How many classification tracks? Speed limiters(retarders)? Equipment that doesn't roll well or roll too well?
