Reverse Running - What Vintage?
Since MRH is no longer running the 'Reverse Running' column, and I had long ago submitted an article which was never used, I have published it on my blog:

Enjoy!

Is it Real or Model?
There are so many great models and photography in these pages that it would be nice to see examples of models that look like the prototype and prototype that could be models. Here is an example - Real or Model?
Physical Installation of TSU-2200 in Kato HO Scale EMD F40PH
Hello All!
This is my first post here. I recently purchased a Sountraxx TSU-2200 for my Kato HO scale F40PH (Chicago Metra) locomotive and am having a difficult time actually mounting it (the electronic install was easy). I can’t seem to find a good place to mount the decoder without it getting in the way of the lights on the stock Kato circuit board that the 2200 is plugged into or above the board (it’s too high to re-attach the shell to the frame).
NMRA member? Why or Why Not?
After reading through the recent tread concerning the NMRA calendar it got me thinking about some things. I've been a model railroader for nearly 50 years and I have never been a member of the NMRA or even considered joining. . I have read a lot of controversial stuff about the organization good and bad. So my question is are you a member? And why or why not? Maybe the organization need an influx of new members to address what today's modelers need or want from them.

ISE fast clock install
I spent an enjoyable evening installing my Iowa Scaled Engineering fast clock which includes two wireless slaves.
The beauty of the ISE setup is its simplicity, ease of installation, and minimalistic look which fits my personal aesthetic perfectly.

Acrylic or ABS for roadbed
For various reasons I was wondering if ABS or plexiglass/acrylic would be feasible as materials for use as roadbed in special situations.
Supposing I was talking about 6" wide, I'm wondering how thick the material would have to be to avoid sagging under it's own weight plus a little more (track) all the time and more (train) part of the time.
3d printing inn steel
I designed and printed this replica Baldwin builder's plate key fob in bronze steel through Shapeways. I think it came out awesome! Not sure how useful this material would be for modeling applications, but it is strong and heavy. The key fob cost about $20.

1950 Driveways (town/suburb)
I am finally starting to work on scenicking Exeter NH in 1950. Unfortunately, one thing I can;t seem to find are photos of homes and particularly any with driveways and walks for the homes. I am trying to figure out to what extent driveway would have been paved versus gravel, particularly within a quarter mile of the town center, so a few of the homes would have been large older homes. The driveways are all paved today on the main road, but back in 1950?
So I have tried researching history of driveways, and not much useful being found.
Electrofrogs and Hex Frog Juicers
Hi,
I'm about to start wiring a bunch of Peco Electrofrog turnouts for my layout and am thinking about using a Tam Valley Hex Frog Juicer. According to the Tam Valley Hex Frog Juicer manual PDF on their website it states:
"Do not modify your electrofrog - just wire the frog juicer to the frogs (silver wires on bottom of turnout) as they come. The frog juicer will take care of the rest."
