Modeling general discussion

Painting track that is located in furnace room
I have reached the stage where it is time to consider painting track on the first section of my layout. The problem is, the layout is in the furnace room. It didn't take much reading to realize that a poorly vented furnace room and spray painting do not go together (especially in cold weather when the furnace runs.)

Black & White - they aren't right! Paint it gray to save the day!
OK....sorry.....I couldn't resist the cute title! I'm talking about colors for a model railroad in that I've seen some good modeling that could have been great if the coloring was a little different. I'm specifically talking about using pure white or pure black colors instead of more muted shades of gray. You see the problem is that unless something has very recently been painted black or white it will be a faded shade of black or white. Pure black or white colors look too stark and unrealistic.
Let's see the bottom insides of your gondolas; I need idea.
My gondolas is just too clean. I have no idea how to to the bottom.
Resistance soldering equipment - recommendations wanted
This week I've seen 2 or 3 discussions that bring up resistance soldering... so, having been interested in upping my game, I want to ask those experienced modelers out there...
What equipment would be a minimum to get satisfactory results in this hobby... realizing I will likely do rail-weight assembly, oat the heaviest. (I have a wire-weight handrail project to start with.)
Buzzer for PSX breaker...
I have five PSX circuit breakers and three reverse breakers on my layout. I want to add LED and audio alerts to each. I am looking at a buzzer at All Electronics, part number SBZ-204. I would like to know if this part would work? I would add the link here, but I have to admit,I don’t know how. *shrugs*. I’ve seen similar parts advertised for 3-4 times the cost on other sites and hobby dealers,so I’m not sure if these cheaper ones will work. I’d hate to buy ten only to find out they are not of the correct specs.

HO water tanker
Here's the beginning of my Fire tanker for my layout.
Started as a boley international 4 door water tanker removed the screw behind the front bumper in order to remove the cab.
Then studied the frame and tank to try and visualize what my mind was seeing.
Went on the web looking at Midwest Fire tankers gained a lot of ideas going.
Have since changed layout directions this will become a West Virginia region tanker.
Off to the train stash and there it was right on top of the second tub i opened a wiking Pete tractor with sleeper.
Oops, what's your caption?
Caption: I'm sure glad I don't have to pay to clean up this mess.

Need a science fiction style business name
I'm looking for a tongue-in-cheek business name for my layout.
I've been collecting HO automobiles for quite some time and have a nice population on the layout. Recently I've been careful to pick models that are older than 1970 or so to keep with my chosen era. However in the past I haven't been very diligent and have a dozen of so autos that are later than 1970.
What to do with them? I envision a car sales business with the tag line "Why wait? Buy your future car now!".
