NWSL closing Aug 2019
Hadn't seen anything here yet, please forgive me if there ends up a double post.
North West Short Line (NWSL) announced on Facebook a couple of hours ago that they will be shutting down as of August 30 this year. The following is the text of the post:

Weekly Photo Fun March 17th to 22nd
A new Shay was put into service pulling logs down to the mill.
This is a brass Shay in Sn3 with a LokSound decoder with customized sounds recorded off of the Dixiana Shay.
3D prints! Sometimes they turn out great, sometimes not.
Hey everyone, I’d like to see your experiences with 3D printed models, both good and bad, Shapeways and home printed.
THE boss
I went to Worcester Ma.today to the NMRA HUB Spring Training Show. It is a small show with emphasis on promoting the hobby and improving skills. To that end they run a myriad of clinics. The one I (and everyone else) wanted to see was Joe Fugate's "Run like a dream". We did get to meet Joe in the hallway and chat for a few moments, but the clinic was packed. One of our group did make it in and was very happy he did. He felt Joe gave a great and helpful clinic. Joe gave the clinic a second time, but our schedule did not allow us the time to see it.
How many times? (Only new steam is big steam)
How many times will manufacturers keep offering the same locomotives over and over again? How about something new? Please!!!
Model Train Shops in Singapore & Athens?
Folks,
My wife and I are going on a cruise from Singapore to Athens and will have an extra day or two in those two cities. Most time will be taken up sightseeing, of course, but I'm wondering if there are any good model railroad shops in either of those cities? A Google search showed several in Singapore; wondering if anyone has any first hand knowledge about any of them?
Thanks,
Al Carter
Using web search for mrr info.
On my outdoor layout I want to use double sided tape. Scotch brand sells an exterior grade double sided tape. Scotch is a good brand. But how long will it last? When I search for "testing or warranty information about scotch brand exterior grade double sided tape," on google or safari all i get is page after page of sellers offering to sell me some. Is there a search engine that is not dominated by this type of result -- i.e all commercial sales?

Staging reverse loop for industrial...
I'm wondering if anyone has made a hidden reverse loop to simulate an industrial area?
A crew would switch out their drag in the yard, then head off to the reverse loop, then the next op session, the drag returns to the yard. It would add an entire industrial area to the layout, but wouldn't be modeled.
I'm thinking of doing this on my layout.
imagination stagnation: paper mill or no?
I’m having another round of imagination stagnation!
Years ago I built a small switching layout with the Walthers Superior Paper buildings. Operations were simply runnning cars from a small staging yard to their appropriate spots in the mill. Quite enjoyable!
Operating with Aisle-Side Buildings
Here is a section of my layout plan. It is a reasonably close match to the prototype that I am modeling. As is typical with railroads some customers are on each side of the railroad. That is, some are on the wall side and some are on the aisle side of the tracks. This is a shelf layout with track height 56" above the floor of the room. As you might imagine spotting freight cars along the buildings that are on the aisle side of the tracks can be a problem with seeing and reaching.
What are your thoughts? Do you have this issue with your layout? How do you deal with it.
