Difference between iPad and iPhone and the forum......

I’m curious  about something and am wondering if the group might have an answer. I got a new iPhone 10 and at the same time I finally broke down and bought an iPad, the new 10” Pro. They are basically identical with the same apps, IOS, and functionality. My problem is this.  The iPhone keeps me logged in for days at a time and the iPad does not. It’s so bad that if I accidentally hit the delete (backspace to non Apple users) once too many I get to the first screen and have to log in again.

Attracting New Club Members

I'm a member of a club in New Zealand with our own building, housing two extensive HO and one N scale layouts. As well, we have several display layouts and museum type displays of model rail memorabilia. The building is open to the public 7 days a week, with the N and the smaller HO layouts being operated automatically when a button is pushed.

Altoona hobby shops

Hi, All

I am planning a trip to Altoona Pa. soon. Which hobby shop is worth a look while I am there?

I appreciate it. MARK

2019 Sandown Hobby Exhibition. Melbourne, Australia

Yesterday, I attended the Sandown Train and Hobby Show, at Sandown Racetrack in the south-east of Melbourne. The show is in its 13th year and, while primarily a model railroad exhibition, it has grown to encompass a number of hobbies, including RC planes, RC cars and even drones. More general hobbies are also included, and there was also a fascinating Meccano exhibit where some amazing models were displayed: the most interesting was a working knitting machine which was producing a woollen braid composed of three different coloured yarns.

Identifying coal hoppers

Going through my books on Canadian railroads during the 50's, I noticed coal hoppers from the US on mainlines and branch lines. Was this common practice? I can't find any CNR coal hoppers in images south of the border.

Anhydrous Tank Cars for 1978 era

I don't reach out for help much but I need to now. I don't know much about tank cars for hauling anhydrous and liquid fertilizers for the late 70's and in particular 1978. I have several Atlas 11,000 gallon tank cars listed for Anhydrous (Barrett, Olin, Mathieson, Spencer, and so on).
