W. Springfield Free-mo layout - videos
Good evening all,
I'd like to share a couple of 1+ minute videos taken at the Amherst (W. Springfield, MA) Free-mo layout. The videos are only of the 2 ends of the layout. I'm sorry to report the remaining videos were not viewable.
Thanks for looking!

Cleaning Air Brush After Painting
After years of frustration I finally seem to be using my air brush more, spending more time painting and less time trying to get it unplugged. I use a MicroMark pistol grip and spray Valejo Air at 25 PSI, a little retarder and a little thinner as suggested by Joe Fugate. But after spraying it takes a lot more time trying to clean the air brush than painting. I back flush, take apart, clean insides with q-tip. But then it seems like I have to spray about a gallon of water and some thinner to get it to spray clear.
How many layouts????
Just curious, How many layouts has the average or serious modeler built and destroyed, or sold, during their life time only to start fresh and rebuild again? (tearing down hours of labored love) Regardless of size, scale, location, or reason for starting over, I myself was active duty navy (just 8 years) during that time I can recall at least 3 different 3'x6'8" ( on a door) and two solid 4x8 (depending on apartment or living quarters.) Since then however I kind of lost count, ball park over ten.

Micron Arts
Has anyone heard anything about Micron Arts?
Went to go to their website and it says domain is not taken.

Looking for some builds.
Looking for some videos of some builds... craftsman cars, buildings, shake the box, laser cut, detailing, restorations of old, or broken models...
Something to inspire me to do some modeling.
I have already seen everything related to that on TMTV... as well as MRVP...
Show me what you've found, or have done yourself.
Magazine Question
Greetings,
I have been trying to find out some information about a magazine that was called Timber Times. It was about logging and the history and modeling of lumber companys and railroads.
I have been assembling a collection of these magazines, but I cannot find out the date and issue number of the last magazine published. So far I have 45 issues. My inquiries to other sources have produced no answers. Does anyone here know the answer?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Question on proper Jeweler's saw use (for cutting rails)
I'm building switches following the fast tracks advice. I have a question about cutting gaps around the frog using a jeweler's saw.
The advice from the video was to mount the blade with the teeth pointing backward toward the handle. The second advice was to avoid pushing the blade (as that can make it bend).
Caboose Hobbies Issue
I don't know if I'm searching incorrectly or something but the New Caboose Hobbies site gives me problems. EVERY item I search for returns nothing. I can't find anything on their site. I've even looked for many items I'm not interested that are current products or new releases.
I have emailed them and asked this question to get an answer of, "We have thousands of items listed". OK.........WHERE?
Are you guys able to search, find and buy things?
Using Woodland Scenics Realistic Water
I’ve seen layouts with water features like cascading waterfalls with pools at the bottom of each. I have a river on my layout and I plan on using WS Realistic Water. I used WS plaster sheets over a foam base for the river. It’s not perfectly flat over the course of it’s run and I am afraid the solution will either pool too much in the wrong places and be too thin in others or that it will leak through the base.
