Modeling general discussion
Any DT&I modelers?
So, I ended up with 6 pounds of decals from the estate of a large scale modeler. A majority of these 1/29 decals are DT&I.
I have 2 big questions.
1. Anyone have any interest in 1/29 DT&I decals? I'm thinking there's easily 50 sets of the DT&I logo that this guy had custom printed. I have plans for 1 or 2 sets as I was able to acquire one of this guy's unfinished boxcar projects. Now I have the decals to finish that car.

Rapido RailCrew On-Off Remote Uncoupler
If you've used one of these gadgets can you give me a review, please. I am most interested in how accurate do you have to be on spot for it to work? Secondarily how reliable is it in actual use? Thanks in advance for any assistance / guidance. Russ

baking soda and CA (for filling rail gaps)
This question thread is specifically about use of baking soda and glue to fill rail gaps, not alternative methods of filling rail gaps or alternative methods of creating rail gaps.
I make gaps using a jeweler's saw, so they're narrow, but yet I can still see them and I want to fill them with baking soda and glue.
To people that do this, could you post details of your method? What do you use to hold the baking soda in place until you drop the glue on it?

"DC" question: eliminating headlight flicker
I'm not sure this is the correct place for this or not ? I didn't see any place for a "DC" question.
I have been retro fitting my old brass and Mantua engines with LED's and can motors, it's working out pretty well.
One thing I noticed I don't like is a flicker in the rear light when the engine is moving forward, It does the same thing with the old 1.5 bulbs as well as the LED's.
I found an article that said to use a .047uf cap across the motor ?
Weekly photo fun, Mar 3 - Mar 9, 2019
First week of March already! I had the pleasure of meeting jcshall a couple of weeks ago. It’s an honor to follow a new friend! Here’s a picture I took at the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum in Jackson, Mississippi. Tim Latham, a name you should recognize from the forum here, was our gracious tour guide and now another new friend for the “royal tour”. I’ll have pictures up shortly of their three layouts.

Static Grass Woes
I built a simple static grass applicator and it seems to work fine. I have been planting grass like crazy but have now encounter 2 situations.
Cabooses or Cabeese
I am a French speaking Canadian so English is my second language. I know that more than one goose are geese. What about more than one caboose? Cabooses or cabeese? I am seeing both on the web. What is the correct word?
HO: Assembling Athearn All-Weather Windows
I am having a heckuva time assembling Athearn's HO scale all-weather windows -- which is kind of ironic since it is only a 2-piece plastic assembly with not so much as a sprue to cut: it consists of the window frame and the clear windows. The window seems like it should be a tight fit that is instead turning into a too-tight force-fit ... I've already cracked the clear windows on 2 of them (6 sets come in a package) while trying to press-fit the window piece inside of the frame.
Portable Rolling Storage Trays
I'm thinking in terms of a rolling "chest of drawers" type affair for storing HO scale rolling stock/engines for rotating on/off the layout. I'm thinking this one may have potential:
