Fuel bunker loads for tenders
I made them by cutting up an old piece I had for a coal hopper. I made it by gluing coal bits to pieces of balsa wood. I carved the pieces I cut from the hopper's piece to fit the tender's fuel bunker. 2655 was the hardest to fit, as it had inner lips near the top edge on its fuel bunker.

Keep Alive, lift gate in track, and derails
Every so often I see a comment about how killing power to tracks when a lift gate in the track is opened isn't very effective when a loco has KeepAlive. The loco is supposed to stop, but can keep going and end up on the floor.
Here is a link to pictures of a possible solution. Split rail derail will put the loco off the rails, but if it's strategically located the train will still be on the layout. I can see whittling extra parts off some old turnouts that aren't DCC friendly, and wiring a switch machine to activate when the lift gate is opened.

Planning to build an old Ambroid O-24 Payroll car craftsman kit - where do I even begin?
My great uncle recently passed down all of his old model train stuff which largely date back from the late 60s/early to mid 70s period, and among them were several wood-with-metal-casting craftsman kits. Of those was an oddity - the Ambroid O-24 Payroll Car, not only standing out from the rest due to its box (bright gold with a badly faded tape identification marking on one end), but also because its the only piece of O scale anything he had and its the only one he tried to build - which amounted to two pieces of wood glued onto a side wall piece.
White transfers, how do the professionals?
Dear all,
Some vendors who make white transfers, charge for a film in addition to the cost of the transfer. This implies they use an UV-reactive sort of blank transfer sheet. Does anyone know of a brand name for these sheets?
Thank you,

Pre-Order Announcement: TCS Universal WiFi Throttle
Is there a more In Dept technical info available about this TCS Trottle ?
After viewing the video's on the TCS web. more questions arise:
- How does it connect to the different EXISTING SYSTEMS ? (They only mention Digitraxx)
-Does one need the JMRI - wifi network to run - for example NCE ?
-What's the relationship with the upcoming TCS Command Station ?
-What EXACTLY can it do ?
-What.................. ????
Is this "pre ordering" a premature born baby... and find out by yourself ?
