Missing airbrush part

I have an Iwata Eclipse airbrush and an Iwata moisture trap grip.
Between these two, sealing the connection, is a small, fat O-ring. It seems to be at home inside the rim of the base where the hose or other in-line accessories screw onto the airbrush.

The problem is, that while it appears that the O-ring is part of the airbrush, it doesn't appear on any parts diagrams.

End of March going into Easter

I had some time tonight to do a small update. Had a week off and got to spend a little time working on the Layout so I thought a small update was in order.

Weathering a Pennsy Hopper

Hello everyone! I decided this past week to tackle my Bowser Executive Line PRR H30 hopper as the second freight car weathering project of my hobby experience. Some of you might recall the post of my first weathering attempt which appeared in the "Yes it's a Model" section of this month's issue of MRH. It was a heavily weathered jade green NYC 40' boxcar. I decided to weather the hopper this time because it was something different, and I think it came out fairly well. It took a few more days than I expected but the results were well worth the wait.

Finding Locos

I'd really like to get started in the hobby, with a focus on the western logging industry of the 20's or 30's.  I'm having a horrible time (as a newbie) finding an affordable source for Shays in particular or other logging locos in general.  I've been dreaming of doing this for three decades, and now that I have the time, it looks as though it may have "inflated" beyond my reach.  Could anyone give me some direction/advise on sourcing these locos?  If I can find them at all they're like $1200 or unpowered.

Everman no more

Well unfortunately my Everman Layout has been demolished. I was happy with my layout but my operation ideas have changed.

The old layout was great for a switching job but the prototype only ran a train in this area. I really want to get into operations for multi people and that just wasn't going to work. If I could get people over there was only one train to run and that was no fun. I also wanted to be able to run the FWWR 6 axle locomotives also. They also are having more foreign power over their rails and wanted to add that capability.

Should I wait for the 'mud' to dry completely?

I covered my mountain with Mike Confalone's mud recipe over the last two days. (I watched his tutorial on TMTV). Of course, now I'm anxious to add some color - various WS ground foams.

How dry should the 'mud' be? It's a mixture of water, paint and CelluClay. Parts of it still feel damp, and thicker spots still feel a little 'gushy'. I'm okay if I have to wait, but I would like to add some green...

CY&PRR - Using Printed Surface Textures

I have been using surface textures from internet sources for pavements and other things printed on my home HP printer and applied to the layout. Here is an example of an asphalt parking area that I used by the brewery main building.
