Train Layout in 'Attic' of a Garage
There was recently a subject thread started that concerned itself with sloping/slanted roofs over portions of a train layout space. It got me to remembering one of the interesting articles (of many) I have saved from older Model Railroader mags (what a great inspiration some of these older mags can be.
This particular article was in an Aug 1984 issue, and titled 'Making Room for Making Tracks'. Basically the fellow created an attic in his 2 car garage.
Model wheel diameter question in S or O scale?
Anyone in this group know of train wheels available in the range of .344" to .550" in diameter? Either including the flange or not including the flange?
I'm in the process of building a MOW crane in 1\29 scale and I need some Hy Rail wheels. HO wheels are way to small, so I'm thinking it will have to be either S or O scale.
Suggestions?

Creating water ripples
I am nearing the completion of the river on my layout. I am using Envirotex Lite for the basic river. I would like to follow it by having small ripples rather just a glossy mirror coat. I have seen a few videos on You Tube, but I would like to know if anyone has had good results in creating ripples and what your technic is.

Part 3 - Test Fitting the Completed Base Structure & Roofs at Union Station
Looking for a video that was posted a few years back...
Can anybody help me locate this "film"? There was a video shared on here about prototype time-table/train order operations. This was a few years back. It was black and white but high-def. It was perhaps Canadian and perhaps mixed in with other "films". I can't seem to locate it on here or other sites. Thanks if you can help! -Chris.
Ramblings on a Garden Railroad
I have not seen many posts in garden layouts. My interest is a railroad to serve the Lilliputians living among the bushes and around the edges of my yard. This would be designed to operate as any of the smaller scales and based on railroad practices as much as I have knowledge to do. Help here is appreciated.
Please consider following along and provide your input. I am very open to ideas and look forward to a new journey.

Masonite Track Cleaning Car
Here's my most recent "procrastination" project... a masonite track cleaning car. I decided it should blend in with the other rolling stock, but chose a "tongue-in-cheek" road name :)
Research showed that Highball sells Masonite decals, but they are for a Thrall All-Door boxcar... tried to make them work, but it is really too new and too big, plus they are just too large to fit on a smaller car, so - I ended up making my own with a similar format, except for the data blocks from Microscale.
MKT Heavyweight Passenger Car Numbers
Good evening, all.
I'm looking for information on MKT's roster numbering for their heavyweight cars. Specifically, their number series of 12-1 sleeping cars. I've checked between the three reference books I own and searched online, to no avail. Is there anyone here that might be able to shed some light on their roster numbering system?
Thank you in advance!
